Rebecca Black. Make It Stop!

Can a turd be polished? You decide. Given the material she had to work with, she’s a miracle worker.

That girl is pretty talented, and it’s hilarious that she’s singing this ridiculously happy-go-lucky song as if her boyfriend just dumped her and ran over her cat.

Wait, she left wednesday out. Nevermind.

LOL 16 with a license, 14 with learners permit and guardian in car, 15 with hardship license (must be applied for and given)
Not in the CO. It is 15 here with a learners permit after taking driver’s ed. With no driver’s ed, you must take Alive at 25 to get the permit at 15 and a half. If you don’t take either, you have to wait until 16 to get a permit. To get your license, you must have your permit for at least one year.
Really? That sucks.
It does. I went through the 16 year old route. Kind of a bitch.
I still think 16 is too young to drive, kids aren’t old enough to be responsible at that age.

Then again, 21 to drink is also ridiculous.
When does the limit begin in who is responsible to drive and who isn’t. There are bad drivers who do not care about the road at all and the others on it. They just do it.

And do not get me started on the drinking age.

Hey, I spoke to that Drinking Age the other day, and Drinking Age was bitching about you behind your back …

I think you should get started on Drinking Age …

The thought just occurred to me:
She’s probably going to do that next song, then disappear for about five years, the reappear at age 18, and just be SMOKING HOT. Figure if her folks can afford this music video crap, they can probably afford some plastic surgery for their little baby girl.

Mark my words- five years, smoking hot.

Rebecca Black Forced Out of School by Bullying

ANAHEIM (KTLA) – Rebecca Black, the Anaheim Hills teen who became an internet sensation when her music video ‘Friday’ went viral, has been forced out of school by constant bullying.

The 14-year-old tells ABC’s Nightline that the harassment at school became so intense that she had to be home-schooled.

“When I walk by they’ll start singing ‘Friday’ in a really nasally voice,” she said of her classmates.

“Or, you know, they’ll be like, ‘Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?’”

The music video landed her in the media spotlight for a time.

She became a trending topic on Twitter, received a ranking on iTunes and even made appearances on the late-night talk show circuit.

But the single was also a source of ridiculed for its cheesy lyrics, not written by Black, and was ultimately taken down for copyright violation.

But the damage was done.

Black says the attention the song received got out of hand, and she even received death threats.

But it’s not all bad; Black has been tapped to appear in the latest Katy Perry video.

She also took home an MTV Teen Choice award for Choice Web Star last weekend.

Kids are fucking cruel. Jealousy makes them act like idiots.

I admit I haven’t ever heard her song, so I can’t really judge it’s artistic merits, but so what if she’s famous for 15 seconds? People just hate on for the sake of hating on.

How do you go through the whole thread and not listen to the song?

Same way I managed to get through the 80’s without seeing the Goonies. Still haven’t. But hey, some people here never saw the original Planet of the Apes.
