I use that Jean Paul Gaultier stuff in the stripy blue bottle, 212, or Diesel only the brave. I go for the sweeter kinda ones, as opposed to the musky ones. Musky ones don’t work on me at all.
I feel like I need to do something masculine now after contributing to such a poofy thread. I’m going to go punch my girlfriend
Come on, embrace your inner dandy. You know it’s what SM would want.
haha, I’m actually a pretty feminine dude in a lot of ways but I just don’t go in for expensive clothes, perfumes etc., and I’m not particularly well groomed
real men are well groomed and when it’s most appropriate smell very nice. I say most because I don’t expect a man to smell nice while under the hood of a car or battling a house fire.

define well groomed. I keep my beard trimmed (a macho 6mm, in case you were wondering) and my girlfriend is a fancy schmancy hairdresser so I suppose my hair’s probably reasonable, but if well groomed means waxing, having your eyebrows done, fake tan and all that other shit your grandad would’ve shunned then fuck that noise

Well you have a gf so I doubt you care about your grooming. Most guys including myself when I wasn’t single, could care less about their grooming habits. However once you’re looking for a potential mate, grooming is VERY important. Many girls I’ve met have mentioned it’s one of the few things that can make or break their attraction to you. Now you ask what’s well groomed? Getting tans, eyebrows waxed, chest shaved is not my definition of well groomed. Nice hair cut, hydrated hair (not dry or very greasy hair), strong aligned edges if you have facial hair, clean clothes, and of course smell nice (this doesn’t mean that the whole room should smell like you).
