Funny but I have found that the beginning of some books I’ve read by Tom Clancy, Eric Lustbader, John Diehl, etc. and pulp fiction of that varied ilk always have some little phrase or quote in the preface that always sticks in my memory…

Here are just a few of mine…

There are two levers for moving men: interest and fear. -Napoleon

Men take only their needs into consideration, never their abilities. -same

Beware the fury of a patient man - John Dryden

I could go on but I’m going now cause it’s leg day… I’ll check back and drop some more gems if I can recall them later.

“Pain is weakness leaving your body”

And God said let there be vodka, and he saw that it was good. Then God said let there be light, and he said “whoa, too much light”

“In heaven there is no beer, that is why we drink it here.”

-Anonymous (but probabally Irish)

It is never too late to become what you might have been. -George Eliot.

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach that man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

“Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality.” -Julesde Gaultier

Take care of your body with steadfast fidelity. The soul must see through these eyes alone, and if they are dim, the whole world is clouded." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
