I’m 38 and too f’ing old to lift per my wife (not her exact words but that’s what she meant). Married 10 years and I still haven’t mastered the art of saying, “Yes, dear” with enough false sincerity that she’ll believe me.
Gotta clean up my diet. BF% was measured with a Tanita 2001 scale.
Seated calf raises were performed with the Smith machine attachment and a calf block. I’m in debt up to my ears with my current gym and couldn’t afford a seated calf machine. I also ran out of space.
Blew out my back 08/02/03 when I went overboard with deadlifts, squats & leg presses. Kaiser said that it was just a strain & prescribed physical therapy and Vicodin. I had constant pain from the top of my pelvis (in back) radiating down thru my glutes & hamstrings. My left side got better after 6 months (95% recovered) but my right side is still f’ed up (75% recovered). I still can’t stay still in one position for longer than 15 minutes without my right side aching. Still haven’t used the Vicodin yet and it’s probably expired by now. Stopped going to physical therapy after 3 months because it didn’t help.
Time to shut up and get back to work.
