Seems like you just do better w/ more carbs than… Just out of curiosity, how did you go about the carb ups?
I HATED the carb ups on the Anabolic Diet. I never got any benefit from them and always felt really shit the whole time. For this reason I never ate enough Carbs on these days either. They made me feel phyiscally ill.

I think what has changed my tolerance for Carbs is simply Fasting longer. I havent eaten breakfast in a few years now, since I first read Kiefers “Breakfast: Logic Does Not Apply” article. And then last year I tried Martin Berkhan’s leangains, which only extended my fasting an extra 2 hours but made a huge difference. I was then able to add carbs to the latter part of my day with said in Borat voice Great Success!
Thx for the comments. Yeah i have to download that book because i want to know more about it. How come you didn’t get so much results from the Anabolic diet? I read about the NO breakfast and delaying it as long as possible? Did you try the mass fase on the Anabolic diet? I didn’t used the shakes anymore after training and i must say i was full of energy and my workouts are not bad.

agreed. carb backloading is the fucking shit. ill never go back on a strict AD when i can use CBL and never have a shitty workout again.
You CBL now?
yea for the past couple weeks or so. i was doing strict AD and noticed i was getting really soft and watery around the waist and chest, wasnt losing ANY weight, and my workouts were shhhiiiiitttt. so i carbed up mid week for a while and noticed the 1-2 after carb ups i looked great and workouts were great. then i kind of settle on CBL everyday after workouts and have been doing it now for a couple weeks. lost 5lbs already, after doing strict AD for weeks and not losing ONE POUND.

EDIT: AD was 4 days of weights with 60-90 of chronic cardio a day, and no weight lost. now with CBL i have energy enough to train weights 5-6 times a week and do higher intensity cardio for less time. this is with a pure endomorph body that gains fat just looking at carbs.
Good for you! that shows that every person is different i gues. For me i’m doing good atm, feel a little fucked up in the morning and dizzy but my workouts are not really affected yet. The carb-backloading sounds sweet also because all this fucking meat and cheese is costing me a lot of money hehe. And i can’t really handle breakfast anymore. Feels like i want to vomit, probs because its heavy stuff in the morning.

I’m doing 3 times a week 5x5 stronglifts atm by the way plus 5 times a week 30 min low cardio.

Sorry for all the questions but: 1) Are you using I3G again? and 2) What are macros/cals like now and before on the AD?

Or would you mind making a post outlining the differences in the CBL thread? Thanks man.
yea, i rotate between indigo and glycobol before my carbup meal. to be 100% i dont track calories or macros everyday, but a couple times a week i do and on the AD it always came out to around 2200-2500 calories at 60% fat, 35% protein, 5% carbs. and i was eating the exact same boring, monotonous diet everyday so it was accurate.

now, i wakeup, drink some coffee, maybe down a tablespoon of coconut oil or MCT oil ala kiefer. after a couple hours i eat a heavy pro/fat meal like eggs and 8oz piece of meat. have a 2nd pro/fat meal 3 hours later. train. drink 1 scoop of whey. wait 2 hours. totally broscience here but i feel after 1.5hrs of weights and 30 mins of high intensity cardio my body is still burning fat so i dont want to spike insulin at all.

i also take rhodiola to manage cortisol here. then 2 hours later i pop a GDA and go to town on the carbs. 100-250g of carbs with 10-12oz of meat and some veggies and a fat source. thats “all” i eat in a day. zero carb cravings now cause i know i get to splurge at night. workouts are top notch again. and im losing weight!

if i had to guess macros id say, 100-250g carbs, 180-225g protein, 100g fat. 2000-2800 cals. but ill probably do a real calculation today actually.

yup, i cant stress that enough that everybody is different. if you hate eating breakfast you might want to look into skipping it. intermittent fasting is the big rage nowadays. i know theres a shitload of stuff youre reading already, but check out leangains.

You know what. I cant see myself ever eating breakfast again! unless I find myself in a situation where breakfast would be my last meal for a long-long time (like only meal of the day for whatever stupid reason) otherwise FUCK BREAKFAST!

Webseeker, if that avatar pic is current I dont see why you need to go on an all out fatloss diet. Maybe you want to get shredded but if your overall goal is to get bigger still and lean I think youll do fine using some form of Intermittent Fasting protocols on any diet you choose.

I was still on the Anabolic Diet when I first started skipping breakfast, and while I was bulking on it at the time, I felt it kept me leaner than I would normally be when eating like that. But to me, the Anabolic Diet was no more Anabolic than any other moderate fat diet. And it certainly didnt help me get or stay lean when dieting down. Skipping Breakfast and Fasting a little longer has been the BIGGEST thing for fatloss and muscle retention I have come across.

I Honestly dont think the macro split of your diet is that big a deal if you spend more time in a fasted- fat burning time frame. But thats why Ive ultimately ended up on Carb Backloading. You get the best of all these different diets (IF, Carb Cycling, Anabolic Diet) without the pitfalls of any.
