Congrats, good news. Not a fan of Clomid, especially for the long term. I like johann77’s thoughts.^
I wish I had read a post like that before starting TRT. Very good info.
@highpull @systemlord @johann77
Hey guys, I’m about to repeat my blood tests in a couple of days (probably after NY).
Currently I’m on 50mcg of T4 daily and 1.25 bromocriptine and will tell you how I feel at the moment.
I think I’m getting nocturnal erections (3-4 per week) and erections during the night (almost regularly), but I really can’t tell for sure as I’m so preoccupied with it daily that I might be imagining all of it.
Libido is still no-existent, I have to force my self to masturbate but my erections are slightly better I think. Still I don’t feel any joy during ejaculation, like my penis is disconnected with my brain. I don’t know how to explain this and feel like an idiot for even writing, but you are my only source of information and so far my only help as I live in a third world country where doctors think I’m perfectly fine because of how I physically look.
1)Anyway, as I said, I will repeat my tests in a few days, is there anything I should check beside this:
Testo, Free Testo, T3 free, T3 total, TSH, Prolactin, Estradiol, LH, FSH, T4 free, SHBG
- I dropped some supps recently as I read on this forums that ‘too much is not always too good’. Atm I only use b complex, omega 3, vit C and zinc+magnesium before bed.
I ordered vit D, ashwagandha, DAA and tribulus to boost my libido if possible.
Been thinking to start with 3000 vit D, 1000mg ashwa and tribulus, and to stay with 50mg zinc + 500mg mag before bed, b complex, 2g vit c daily. Can I add these supplements?
Also I started using no-flavor whey protein as I read sucralose can cause some problems with thyroid and I’v been using it 10+ years literally on a daily basis.
Currently my diet is:
-non-flavored whey mixed with some fruit, omega 3
-eggs with tomato/spinach oat/rye flour >>> gym >> whey prot, vit c, b complex
-after gym - chicken fillet/beef + rice+ greenies + omega 3
- nuts snack (almonds, walnuts)
- before bad - low fat cheese + olive oil, zma before sleep
- I read this thread on forum and I see some of you took part
Road to Recovery (Horrible Hormone Panel, Anxiety, Etc.) - #43 by johann77
I can tell my symptoms are quite similar to this guy.
You suggest him to drop some activity, I will try to do this as well. I train 6 times weekly, I feel very energized and motivated in the gym - And only in the gym. As soon as I get out, my mood changes and I start feeling useless.
If someone can explain me, how is it possible that I gain muscle mass quite easily, and I get easily in shape with my hormones being so bad and my T not so great?
Might be due to overtraining as well, and do you think I should take a few days rest before I take my next blood tests?
50mg Zinc daily long-term is not a good idea.
You need to supplement Copper with a Zinc supplement.
It’s recommended to take Zn/Cu in at least a 10:1 ratio. So, you need at least 5mg Copper if you take 50mg Zinc.
If it were me, Zinc would be 30mg and Copper 3mg daily.
Definitely will drop zinc then, I’v been on 50mg for ages now. Should I still include copper if I drop zinc?
Maybe add DHEA-S.
Don’t go from one extreme to another. Copper is a normal mineral for the body, in fact, required for normal function. Just reduce the Zinc and add Copper. You could also stop the Zinc for a few weeks and restart to let your level come down a bit.
Stay away from Clomid. Don’t take DAA it may make your estrogen/prolactin problem worse. I haven’t gone through this thread, but did they check for a pituitary tumor? It sounds like there is something going on that needs to be looked into.
Yea I did pituitary screening recently, no tumor.
Thyroid screening as well and it’s normal.
Damn, I heard so many good things about DAA, it’s even stated on the box ‘blocks prolactin and increases testosterone’ guess it was to good to be true ![]()
Ok then, as for the supps and the medicine I plan to use:
aswagandha 1000mg, tribulus 2000mg, magnesium 800mg, zinc 30mg (it’s with the tribulus I bought), vitamin D 3000-4000u, vitamin b complex, vitamin C 2g, omega 3 6-8 caplets daily.
As for the medicine I’m currently on 50mcg T4 and 1.25mg bromocriptine.
I will probably increase T4 to 75 after I do blood tests as @johann77 suggested to increase it gradually
I will probably open a new thread for this question, but what is your opinion on sarms in my condition? I wanted to try Ostarine to be specific, I heard it’s very mild and least suppressive but can boost general well-being and doesn’t affect hormones on lower dosages? I’m not that much into physique, I’m really satisfied with how I look, I just need some mental kick as I’m pretty much screwed last few months because of my libido problems, there is no joy in me.
Not sure when you are taking both of these, but from what I have heard they should not be taken together. They compete for the same receptors or something along that line, so taking them together will eliminate one of them being fully utilized. I believe the thought is they should be taken 4 hours apart. I take zinc in the morning and magnesium night as it is supposed to help with sleep and relaxation.
Ok these are results from today. I want to thank again everyone in this thread, especially @systemlord @highpull @johann77 and all others for their contribution, you guys have helped me more than all doctors combined!
As you can see, tsh dropped and prolactin as well. I’m currently on 50mg daily of t4 and 1.25 of bromocriptine. Shall I continue with this medication every day or drop something? My shbg and testosterone seem low, guess trt is awaiting me in not so distant future?
I’m still waiting for free testo result but it will be high I guess as it was last time.
Thing is, I don’t feel much better if any regarding my sex life. My libido is still shot, erections are weak. What would be the next step? I have opened another thread about proviron as I think it might be some sort of solution so u can jump in if you wish : )
It would be nice if you had fT3, no way to know how much of the active hormone is making it into the cells. I don’t know many who have good erectile strength and libido at 357 ng/dL and estrogen dominant.
Your next step is daily T dosing and maybe micro AI dosing or DIM as an alternative.
I have done FT3 recently and it was average, its 3.58 (2.76-6.45)
You more than likely need a dose increase, you want somewhere between 50-80% of the ranges.
Ok, so I will increase T4 to 75mg for 2 weeks, then to 100mg as you said to increase it gradually over time.
Should I continue with bromocriptine now since my prolactin is lowered?
Yes, increase to 75 mcg is a good idea but you may want to stay there for 3 to 4 weeks as TSH came down already nicely. And keep in mind that you only started T4 something like 3 weeks ago, so it’s still building up in your system.
For now I would stay on the bromo.
And I would stay away from the proviron as it’s too many moving parts.
Good luck that symptom relief will follow in the near future!
Sorry mate if you can explain this a little.
Daily T dosing is a daily TRT I guess, if T stands for testosterone?
micro AI and DIM, I tried to google this but no luck?
@johann77 Thx for support, I will stay on bromo for now then and increase to 75.
Correct, T = testosterone.
I agree with the others and would also increase testosterone dose. I’d shoot for every bit of 80% though.
I don’t think I understand you very well guys, I’m not on testosterone therapy atm therefore can’t increase it, I only use T4 and bromocriptine medication. I guess I’m misreading something?
I thought to leave TRT as a last resort. I will up my t4 medication to 75mcg and continue for a few more weeks and see where am I. In a meanwhile I thought to add more aswagandha, testo boosters, zma and vitamine D to try and boost my well-being.
Can you recommend any other medication or supplement? I really thought proviron would be an answer but unfortunately
