I like him, but i always loved Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder way more.
Their music is way more deep.
The first concert I ever went to was Prince (and the Revolution) back when he was touring for Purple Rain and Sheila E opened for him. I took my ticket stub to school with me the next day to prove to my friends that I actually went. I was the post popular fifth grader that day.
I don’t know if most of you have seen this, but I always thought Kevin Smith has a funny story about the time he worked with Prince.

I’ve always been a fan of Prince, well except for those years where he didn’t have a name.
Still, very good pop songs and he definitely has musical talent. I thought his performance at the Super Bowl a couple of years back was really strong.

Purple Rain was just on VH1. I got sucked in…
I play Purple Rain sometimes when I play out. It usually goes over pretty well…but not as well as when I do Nothing Compares 2U.
Motley Crue doesn’t even deserve to be MENTIONED in the same sentence as Prince.
