Primoteston Shortage in Australia

@unreal24278 just google “ compounding South Yarra “ you’ll find what your looking for mate , bit pricey but better than gel that’s for sure :+1:t3:

Do you have personal experience with this pharmacy? If so, what exactly do they manufacture regarding injectable formulations of testosterone?

I can pay whatever, price isn’t a problem for me so long as the product is up to par.

Gday mate @unreal24278 For 6 months or so I have been using their Test Enanthate ( made up from Primoteston script ) 125 mg a week , had bloods many times to confirm quality and strength and find the product great no sides , comes in multi use vial also which is perfect for most I would think . Send your script in get the test delivered and give it a try :+1:t3:

Yep my chemist can’t get Sustanon 250 anymore either. South Yarra here I come.

South Yarra is a trek for me, so long as I don’t have to do it too often should be fine I guess… Just gotta get my doc to agree to it.

You don’t have to set foot through the door mate , I’m in WA get mine sent over via Express Post every 6 weeks straight to my front door :+1:t3: Just send them your original script for Primoteston and they do the rest .

sweet, I’m out of primoteston scripts tho, what about scripts for sustanon?

shoot me an email if possible, how much exactly does it cost. (If it’s more than 150$ for 3mL it’s kind of a dealbreaker, private healthcare makes the dr’s apptments expensive enough, even with rebate)

I already have to spend like 300$+/month on meds, so (one of my medications isn’t covered by PBS aside from primoteston, however the one that isn’t covered is like 170$/box or something. A box lasts 4 wks. Then primoteston, and an SSRI covered by PBS.

Whether I end up paying for the meds depends on who has to go to the pharmacy to pick up the scripts, many times that is me… and as a young whippersnapper I don’t want to have to pay even mooooorrreee.

I’m not sure if they compound Sustanon maybe drop them an Email hey are pretty helpful, but They do Test Enanthate and HCG also , I paid around 140 for 5ml of HCG and I pay 80 for 3ml of Test E , Then around 11 bucks for Express delivery . Not as cheap as Primo but that stuff won’t be around until the end of the year and I won’t take Sustanon gives me funky sides .

I was in sin city Thailand last month and first pharmacy I went into had Testosterone Cypionate 200 mg vile for 180 Baht… The product says made in Bankok Thailand.
Using two 100 mg syringes ,I only ever manage to get a total of 170 mg from each vile.

Fairly sure I’m allowed to name pharmacies, is it Como compounding

@Chris_Colucci Am I allowed to ask for pharmacies in help of getting my TRT script filled?

Gday mate @unreal24278 yeah That’s the one , can,t see any issues with legit pharmacies I think it’s UGL sites and suppliers they don’t want on this forum , for obvious ( illegal  ) reasons !

Discussing legitimate TRT protocols, plans, and supplies in the T Replacement forum is fine. But it will not be allowed to become a slippery slope with guys looking for wink wink “self-prescribed high dose TRT”.

If @Chris_Colucci is OK with this, I had a chat with Como Compounding yesterday.

They can supply compounded Testosterone Enanthate provided you’ve got a legitimate prescription for Primoteston Depot.

The cost is $80 for 3 ml. They can ship nationwide (in fact they post worldwide), and that includes Queensland, where the state laws are stricter than elsewhere.

I went in to my clinic to acquire a bloods request doc and was also advised of the nation wide shortage of Primo test250. How ever, i have been advised that there is a replacement called Reandron. My initial thought was our government departments, probably health, are restricting the importation which would mean this “replacement” would be a VERY subtle substitute. Is this my negative mind working overload? Im researching at the moment but any comments would be appreciated. Oh, one jab lasting 10 to 14 weeks. Again i found this difficult to compare to the amount of primo you would inject over that same period. More research but if theres anyone with actual/factual info supporting this, thank you!

Reandron isnt great, it’s pharmacokinetics are highly flawed, esp given the fact that it’s like one injection every 4 half life’s of TU. Literature shown this stuff works… At intervals of every 6-8 wks (and even then it takes time to build up). E10-14 wks for most will have an individual in a somewhat hypogonadal state for the last 4-6 wks prior to injection.

Whoever told you reandron is a replacement is talking out their ass

I doubt the government is restricting the importation of primoteston as there is no need to do so. With an import permit one should theoretically still be able to access long estered injectable testosterone like primoteston, it’s just a pain in the ass (the paperwork and such)

There’s sustanon 250 available at the moment. It was short for a while but it’s back in pharmacies now

What exactly was the point of taking Primoteston off the PBS. It says the private price is $39.30.
And I’ve found that in 2011 the PBS pricing was $33.48. So a $5.82 saving. The only people who are really losing out are the age pensions and disability, who would have got it for $5.50 otherwise, but that’s fair they don’t make money.

I sure hope primoteston won’t go up in price after the shortage is finally fixed.

It just seems cruel and unnecessary. These creams and gels, the private price is much higher, yet are still on the PBS. I assume that means the gov is paying them more for these products than what they were paying Bayer for the primoteston. Crazy.

And I don’t know why sustanon is even an option anywhere. Why would anyone (gov or person) pay 3x the price for something inferior.

I’m on creams and thinking of switching to injections. If I did that, I guess I would have to do the compounding pharmacy thing for $80 + shipping, sigh. That’s expensive but the same price as sustanon.

How is it possible that a pharmacy in Australia can compound the same product, yet a huge pharmaceutical company like Bayer can’t make enough??? What is going on? The shortage started in september and we’re in august. A full year? How is that possible for something like this??? Is there possibly some sort of conspiracy going on to try and end all self administered legal testosterone injections in Australia? I just don’t get it.

ahem

here’s you’re answer

No, but anabolics have been largely phased out of medicine here, which is a shame as the only options to treat wasting disorders are now progesterone/progesterone derivatives (leading to increases in fat mass and visceral adipose tissue, not muscle mass) and like… Androgel and sustanon (both of which are unsuitable for use by women)… pathetic. Deca was just recently phased out… leaving HGH, and even on a PBS subsidy it’s fucking expensive

One would have to acquire an import permit I guess.

But nah, the medical community in general in Aus tends to be about 10-30 years behind in terms of efficiency/ accepted knowledge on various conditions, many treatments here are still outdated as we required an ABSURD amount of evidence before the TGA will approve something as appropriate for medical use or treatment, this isn’t nessecarily a bad thing, however effective yet new or experimental treatments typically take fucking ages to come around here. Hell, medicinal cannabis was only legalised (for very severely epileptic children with a certain subtype of epilepsy that met a certain criteria) in 2017 or something, in two years something like 30 people in the entire country managed to get prescriptions, now it’s starting to increase exponentially with the inclusion of cannabis clinics, you get my point, it’s frustrating, If I was ever to become a medical professional, Australia is certainly not a place I’d be willing to practice due to rigorous, ridiculous restrictions

I have a valid Test prescription and I’ve been getting it compounded at 3ml for $80 or so. But I’ve had issues recently with a reaction to the oil - it gives me large red lumps at the injection site which take many weeks to disappear. Given that I’m injecting every 4 days that would mean I’d have 7 or 8 lumps at a time - totally unsustainable.

I’ve now switched to UGL test (much cheaper too!) and have zero reaction. My bloods indicate that it is potent, too. Just raising it as an option…

Tis an option, but tis also a felony. Granted I use UGL most of the time too, not a big deal for personal use.

Sust-250 (pharm grade) gives me horrendous site reactions.
