I know this is directed at someone else, but still… Where is this leading? (Not a hostile response, just genuine interest)[/quote]
Just curiosity.
I agree with what he wrote.

Are you trying to be ironic? I don’t think your post could be more self-righteous even if you tried.
His mom has cancer. There’s no need to be a petty douchewaffle.

No kidding.
OP, my sympathy to you and your family. Keep your chin up.

I’m not being self-righteous. I have no selfish agenda. Nor do I think he deserves special entitlement simply because his mother has cancer. We all have family members with cancer, as I have previously stated, which includes myself. Perhaps you need to stop being such a douchewaffle yourself, and not buy into being nice and politically correct about every little thing that has a modicum of bad feeling attached to it.
OP, my apologies if I offended you. This is why I stay out of the politics forum.
Preciate it fella’s it sucks but you cant let it beat ya down.
As for special treatment, never did i want that, i simply wanted to share a link. Thats all. Anyways im done here. I apologize that i am not going to fuel your fire anymore. www.wehatecancer.net has some cool stuff guys, check it out if you??re a ??altruistic by wearing this, but I bet he feels like a real cool motherfucker walking around with it on"
I just like the billions of dollars we give to these assclown to actually produce a cure. For instance for 40+ years now we’ve had a Jerry Lewis telethon.
Millions if not billions of dollars. No cure… Pick a cause or disease. Same story. Its business. The money would be better off given directly to your family to pay for the expensive treatment options they line their pockets with.
That being said, I hope that all of you and your loved ones fuck cancer in the ass!

You don’t have to defend yourself for this.

No cure? Tell that to my mom. Without treatment she likely would have died years ago, instead she is watching her grandkids grow, traveling and spending time with her friends. It may get her eventually, no one gets out alive but cancer treatment has extended her life with good quality of life.
Edit: The treatment is developed with research funded by a number of sources. Without this research the treatment options would be very limited.
Very few diseases can be cured, but many can be treated. Just look at AIDS. One of my friends has been HIV positive for ~ 10 years and he is still going strong thanks to treatment. Still no “cure”.

Exactly.Sometimes effective ‘management’ of a disease is almost as good as a cure.I’m not saying that there aren’t money grabbing shenanigans going on,but to totally ignore what progress does get made isn’t exactly a balanced position.
The president of the American Cancer Society gets paid millions of dollars from people who give their donations to find a cure.
Want to help? Make an endowment to one those big university cancer research hospitals and don’t give it to a giant bureaucratic middle man like ACS.
Thanks for the info, OP.
Alwyn Cosgrove Fucked Cancer, too. Right in the ass.

Good idea. Cut out the middle man in most of these things.

I like how you apologize unnecessarily.
