Was that hope not shattered when Trump confidently proclaimed that he would be his own foreign policy advisor “because he has a good brain?”
Well, I’d like my taxes to be jacked up another 5% then I will be paying very close to 60% between local, state and federal taxes. And the more I pay the better I feel. Why keep more of what I worked really hard for? After all I didn’t build “that business”.
I would also like more left wing judges on the supreme court. I think that crazy second amendment is outdated and needs plenty of infringement.
I’d also like more regulation on business. The person that I have in charge of handling all the regulations for my small businesses could use more people in his department so that he doesn’t get lonely.
Oh and the entire world is not in a big enough mess. We need more democrats to do that. There is still peace in various areas of the world and we can’t tolerate that. Maybe we can breed another terrorist organization like we did when our current democrat President pulled the troops out of Iraq too quickly. The void America left when Obama took over can be extended with another democrat. And a new slogan “USA we lead from behind” is just KEWL!!
Yeah…so let’s vote for a democrat the current one has not quite finished off the country. You know all that fundamental change that he promised is not totally complete. I think we need one more democrat for hopefully two terms to finally put an end to the USA as we all used to know it.

Voting for trump as of now. Never was thinking of Clinton. Rubio or Cruz were my initial two candidates. I would vote for Paul Ryan in a heartbeat. No idea why he isn’t running. Dude would be killing Clinton right now.
“Cheeto Jesus”?? LMFAO. I almost choked on my whiskey. I’m stealing that one.
My vote hasn’t changed, I’ll vote for Johnson this year as I voted for Libertarians for President going back to Marrou.
In 26 years I’ve never voted for a Democrat in any election but if you put a gun to my head and said Hillary or Trump, I’d vote for Hillary as I believe Trump is unfit to be President.
Ryan is probably pretty damn content that he decided to take his current position instead of getting mixed up in the shit show that was the Republican primary. The sad thing is that literally any of the 16 other candidates that ran would be beating Hilary right now…
Anyhow Gary Johnson for me as well, as other have stated he doesn’t line up with all my views but hits closer than Trump or HRC on most issues plus he doesn’t seem to be a horrible person…
I really think he could actually get enough of the vote to shake the race up, if he was to pull in some of the heavyweight GOP donors he could get the marketing to move his polling where he would have to be included in the debates. Obviously he couldn’t win the electoral college with either candidate on board but there are still other avenues that could put him or someone else in office. At the very least I could have hope for the next 3 months
As long as you guys don’t vote for Trump, I’m happy.
Go Johnson!
Agree, sig.
Ryan comes off as being very “forward” thinking. It’s been a tough, TOUGH balancing act for him.
Does he endorse of not endorse Trump?
If he does endorse him; how vigorously does he SUPPORT him?
How does he position himself to be a major player in the “Post-Trump” GOP?
Is it going to even be possible to get back to the “re-branding” agenda he was so passionate about?
I think that these are fascinating questions.
Honestly, I am sitting this one out. I agree, I am not for the lesser of two evils theory. FWW, I liked Cruz. But whatevs…
Agree. Ryan has made it pretty obvious that he is only reluctantly supporting Trump out of loyalty to his party.
Interesting…
A lot of 3rd Party or “sitting-it-out” among the PWI family…
It makes you wonder how many are thinking the same way among the General Population as a whole?
How much of this is countered by the “silent” Trump supporters out there?
I think that these are two instances (among others) that have thrown “traditional” metrics off when trying to predict this election. (Keeping in mind that the Electoral College still looms large).
More suprising to me is the political arena shifting to non stop “reality tv”. I think the Republican party fucked itself on this one. Back in summer 2015, the Trump BS was entertaining and funny. But suddenly it picked up steam, and now Trump does not seem to be slowing down the rhetoric and focusing on policies and why he should be President. Now he is the RP’s nomination and people are not so willing to back him.
This to be is very interesting.
Everybody I know supports a candidate as being anti-Hillary or anti-Trump. I haven’t met anybody who makes the arguments for the candidate, only that the other candidate is worse. So far what I’ve seen is that people dislike Hillary but absolutely can’t stand Trump and will do what they have to do (voting for someone they don’t like) to not let him win. The polls seem to be telling that story as well.
At least I gave you facts…you gave your usual nonsensical drivel.
No question Trump is a train wreck. But on the other hand as I said about Hillary above. Not sure we have a choice. Once she sits her fat butt on the throne of power the USA changes dramatically and not for the better…and probably once and for all.
Perhaps to people who pay attention to these things…but I am not so sure he has been successful with the country at large. I posted elsewhere about this but I am pretty sure this comes back to bite him post Trump. Hope not, but I am of little faith.
I’ll take drivel over total bullshit any day, Zeb…
Absolutely. The major rapture in the Republican Party going forward will likely end up being those who fell in line behind Trump vs those who didn’t. This would mean the death of characters like Chris Christie and a potential rally behind Cruz or (hopefully) Kasich or Rubio in 2020. Maybe even the resurrection of Jeb.
