Except that I’ve explicitly stated, multiple times, that I don’t support her, that I hope she goes to jail, that she’s garbage, and that I would never vote for her. You know, things her supporters say…
I agree with you, plenty of sharp minds outside the circle. I don’t want to speak for him, but I would say the same thing he did not because Trump has never held office but because he has shown absolutely ZERO desire to learn anything about the issues after having been shown to know nothing, and also because he has shown zero desire to restrain his ego.
The other candidates in the past who have come from business or other private sectors originally (Carly fiorina, Romney, Carson and all the others) have at least made serious attempts to improve their knowledge when they were ahown to be seriously lacking. Even if they weren’t successful, the attempts were evident. Trump has done no such thing. And on the ego front even Hillary and Bill–two scumbags with giant egos–could at least put their outward behavior on hold for appearances sake or even for political ends. Trump hasn’t done that either.
Btw, great to see you posting again!
Agree with that. I’m still furious. Unsurprised in the slightest, but angry.
You guys act like if none of us vote then it will all go away that doesn’t make sense because most people will be voting for either Clinton or Trump so one of them will win. Sit it out if you want but I’m voting for Trump I think it’s time for a change the Clintons have sullied the White House enough back in the 90’s and I don’t want them to return.
You know Mick28 is from the old years right? Not sure whether it was a jab or you were semi-serious…
I don’t think anyone regularly posting here is planning to sit out the election. I can understand your reasons for voting for Trump, I just disagree. I think that the focus on this short term is going to probably hurt the GoP more long term.
Was a joke. He types just like him.
I don’t disagree with you one bit. But I just can’t see putting a criminal in the White House.
No doubt. I think that’s the clearest proof the candidates are the worst possible lol
Very true and I have certainly been a culprit of this at times.
Hey Mick how have you been my friend? More importantly WHERE have you been?
I don’t give them hell I just tell the truth and it feels like hell to them. ![]()
I took that line from Harry Truman. If I didn’t give Truman credit certain people would be really angry…it doesn’t take much… Ha ha.
Truman also said “No man can get rich in politics unless he’s a crook”
Now let’s see how much are the Clinton’s worth now?
I personally think it’s because this place has stopped being a giant circle-jerk.
And this is a big reason why I don’t think there’s any reason to believe Trump will appoint conservative judges.
The judiciary, constitutional issues, etc. - Trump doesn’t know anything about this stuff, but more importantly, he doesn’t care. The idea that Trump will go to the mat to get conservatives on the bench is not credible, and he’d likely compromise to get some other policy passed he’s more interested in.
Moreover, what constitutional issues Trump does wade into (indirectly) shows him to not be much of a fan of constitutional restraints on his power. He loves eminent domain abuse and baldly advertises he would govern as a “try and stop me” autocrat.
Why the Hell would he be motivated to stack the bench with people who would restrain him and his ability to do what he wanted with the most powerful office in the world? Appointing conservatives would be in direct contradiction to his self-interest, and Trump doesn’t do principle over self-interest.
Trump plays up this point to voters only because an advisor put it in his ear to use as leverage. Trump wouldn’t know a right-wing judge from a right field outfielder, nor does he care. And he’s ultimately not going to appoint judges that would stand in the way of his autocratic impulses.
