Yep. The Democrats had a broad-based party (big moderate and conservative wing), and the GOP didn’t have the Tea Party wing yet. Much smarter. And better.

so you’re basically harping on how Trump presented the issue? In his book he talks about this as a persuasion tactic. Playing to people’s fantasies and having people “think big”. It’s how he gets his point across, if you don’t like it FINE.

But he’s brought light to a very real and important issue. And honestly that’s one of the reasons why he is so popular.
