Pregnenolone can cause ED?
Absolutely. Not entirely certain as to how, but it can. I’ve theorized that it may convert to progesterone more so in some men instead of going down the other pathways. I’ve never seen a concrete explanation as to why. Try it for yourself and see. If you feel great, great. If you feel worse, stop. It’s that simple.
I’ve read low progesterone in men can cause low libido. So, theoretically low preg could be the cause.
But I agree w dbossa. Results may/can vary.
@highpull and anyone else.
Would low dhea or preg cause me to be more angry?
Or is it most likey my testosterone level?
The most common cause of this I’ve seen to date is low T levels. Haven’t once heard anyone report dhea or preg levels being a cause. Not saying it can’t be it… Just saying I’m yet to hear it be reported.
I doubt it.
That’s very possible. Typically, I see guys with low testosterone that are angry. They’re fat, tired, weak with a poor libido and an unhappy wife who thinks they are having an affair. I’d be angry too.
Well am not fat, have plenty of energy, mentally sharp, great libido.
It’s just me being more argumentive and angry. Not the normal being man.
Also I see recently my nocturnal erections and morning wood is less.
Months ago I went from 110 a week to 140. Going back down to about 120. And see if that helps.
My tested levels on trough at 140 (2x a week) was
E2 38
I would think my levels do peak above 1k.
Here it was on 115mg a week. Not much different than 140. Perhaps e2 is a big difference.
E2 29
It’s usually not good when sentences start with “well”.
I did not mean to imply that any of that pertained to you, just reporting what I typically see with the symptom you described. Hopefully, dropping your dose back will work for you.
Preg or Dhea lowered my libido to like half. I can’t be sure yet. I will quit one soon and see.
