I do cardio(intervals) at 7:00 a.m. and am on a BULKING PHASE.
I get up at 5-6 a.m.
Should I eat a protein only meal to maximize “nutrient partioning” of my Bulking Phase or a protein/carb meal to maximize my cardio (interval) intensity?
P.S. I also always drink coffee before my workouts.
I think the reason to go with protein only would be to avoid insulin so that you could maximize fat utilization.
Given that you are bulking, my take is to feed yourself some protein and carbs to halt anything catabolic going on while giving yourself some energy which might help with your intensity.

Is this cardio done everyday? If so, why? How much have you gained? Vroom answered you well, if you are bulking, why is your approach to cardio geared towards dieting?
