I never get why people like watching them. It just puts bad things in one’s head and causes second guessing, which could mean the difference between a new PR, or a failed attempt.
No, I didn’t watch the video, but I have a good feeling I know what will be on it.
It took me a long time to get over seeing a guy break his lower leg while squatting over 700. He was collapsed on the floor with his leg bent in half, and all of the weight still on his shoulders.

Hasn’t Dave Tate said that using bad imagery and visualizations before competitions helped him reach new PR’s on his bench? That’s hilarious that he did that. I never could do that though, too afraid to mess with myself like that.
