This drives me up a wall. Half my family is farmers. The bottom line is that there are 2 Americas–the one that really coexists with the coasts, and the one that leaders of BOTH parties “think” exists. Its a problem, but its not just a GoP problem. I wouldn’t trade my youth growing up for anything–it was free in a way these elitists cannot even fathom. And I love driving through the small towns, the roads, and the back country that remind me so much of my aunts and uncles, grandpas and grandmas.
The elites of both parties look down on us–choose to be a stay at home mom? Get ready for them to tell you how wrong you are. Want to be left alone? Get ready for them to tell you why that’s not allowed and why you need them. Want to do stupid shit because its fun? No, they have to tell you why we can’t let that happen–how did we ever survive before this?
The only difference is that half of them look down on us with an attempt to control us and the other half looks down on us to tell us how bad we are and bigoted or backwards.
When someone goes into great detail as to why they believe something and someone else comes along and summarizes it in a only couple of sentences anything can sound strange.
Anyway bringing up defoo or whatever is one massive red herring and has nothing to do with his Trump videos. If you are skeptical of his claims about Trump check his sources which he lists
Therajraj posted a video of this doofy creep mumbling “the truth about World War III.” I watched about three minutes of it. Highlights:
Doof keeps describing US intention to retaliate as “an act of war,” which, even if this were true (and people who follow this stuff know that the extent to which cyberops constitute acts of war is ambiguous; we don’t even really know the Pentagon’s policy), would stupidly ignore the fact that Russian military intelligence already visited this same act of war upon us, hence the word “retaliation.” It’s also unclear that Doof even understands basic natsec theory / elementary logic well enough to know why it’s important to retaliate in kind for breaches of international norms such as, say, intervention in nuclear adversaries’ free elections.
Doof attempts to mock Joe Biden – who forgets in a day more than Doof will ever know about foreign affairs and national security – for suggesting that the CIA will respond to the FSB/GRU hacks. Well, actually it would be the NSA, chuckle chuckle. Uh, no. NSA primarily does SIGINT. Multiple IC sources have signaled that this operation will fall largely to the CIA, which has been building up its offensive cyberop capabilities lately and which has in any case been conducting cyberwarfare for a long time (Stuxnet, e.g., was a joint CIA / NSA operation). It’s unclear where Doof got this idea in the first place, but it appears he’s just so ignorant and uninterested in reality that he’s just saying whatever confused half-thought spills into the center of his septic tank of a brain. Doesn’t really matter: his rajrajian fan base isn’t there for reality. It’s there to lean back, open wide, and swallow alt-right horseshit.
Doof says there is no evidence that Russia was behind the hack, which claim is problematic in light of the vast mountain of evidence that Russia was behind the hack.
Doof describes RT, in which toilet he apparently makes public appearances, as “bringing news” that is not a “regurgitation” of Western “warmongering.” That’s RT, the Kremlin’s official English-language propaganda outlet. State news from Moscow designed to spill agitprop into the English-language West.
I turned it off there because I’ve been told that abysses have been known to stare back into lingerers, but I think we all get the idea. This guy is a lying, stupid creep. Is it any surprise that the one PWI poster who follows him is the worst we’ve had since the guy who thought Sandy Hook had been a hoax?
Glad to hear that you relate. I suspect a lot of people are figuring this out, partially as they attempt to understand the Trump phenomenon.
I knew we were in deep trouble when I heard a woman from here on the coast talk about visiting rural Oklahoma. You’d think she was a cultural anthropologist describing the inhabitants. “They drive pickup trucks, buy clothes at Walmart, eat tater tots, put plastic flowers in pots outside…”
We don’t like to think about class in America.
Related, I keep hearing this fear that if Trump looses there will be bands of armed militia. I think some of my neighbors might imagine that it will be unsafe to drive across Wyoming or Oklahoma. They don’t seem to spend a lot of time thinking about the bands of armed people already wrecking havoc in Chicago or Baltimore. It’s a little ironic.
This is another example of people in senior positions screwing over those who who can’t afford the lawyers to fight back. The older I get the more I despise the ruling class in this country. These people volunteered, took the bonuses in good faith and fought, and the Pentagon gets to go “oh, we screwed up, pay us back.” I wonder if they’ll give back the lives of the KIAs and wounded.
He says Trump is different because he fits the mold of someone who can bring legitimate change.
outsider
has his own money and Didn’t have to solicit wealthy corporate donors
he has name recognition because that matters to people
He said he never expected to be interested in voting until Trump because no one else really fit the template of change in the past.
We all see how nothing really changes whether it’s a Republican or democrat presidency. More war, endless immigration, continued rise of the National debt and failed government programs.
Donald Trump is a huge maybe. He might continue the course or actually change something. I mean did you read what he wants to do in regards to lobbying?
Why do you think everyone is attacking him from all sides - Republican and Democrats? They like the fact nothing changes
Nobody here believes you understand even very basic things about pre-OIF intelligence assessments. There is no comparison at all. And you’re pretending that we don’t already have, in the public record, compelling and specific evidence of Russia’s being responsible for the hack. We do. I’ve cited this evidence time after time, and you’ve never said a single thing about it, never questioned it, never tried to counter it or rebut the case. Because you can’t.
But I’ll ask this first, ignoring the fact that the USIC’s high-confidence assessment already has been confirmed by a variety of outside actors: independently verified by whom, Einstein?
Of course I can’t see into the future, but as I said I believe demographics is destiny. If Trump carries out his immigration plan and does nothing else, it will still be better than the current trajectory with Hillary/Obama
With all the lying and underhandedness the current regime has been openly caught engaging in, it’s really strange the level of confidence you have in them and people paid by them.
