Please Evaluate My Lab Report

You’re very welcome!

Results are in… interpretations please
PROLACTIN 6.7 – 2-18 ng/mL
FT4 1.4 – 0.8-1.8 ng/dL
SHBG 28 – 10-50 nMole/L
ESTRADIOL 26 <= 39 pg/mL
TSH 1.31-- 0.4-4.5 mlU/L
ft3 3.4 – 2.3 - 4.2 pg/mL

Also, i forgot
VITAMIN D, 25-OH, TOTAL 23 L – 30-100 (ng/mL)

Very nice results, except for Vitamin D. I’d take 10,000 IU/day for six weeks and then reduce to 4000-5000 IU/day.

You might adjust this seasonally: for example, if you get little sun in the winter but plenty in the summer, you might omit Vitamin D supplementation on days or weeks where you get a good amount of sun.

(Northern Hemisphere; for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere, I don’t have information on seasonal UV variation there and so please go by your own experience and/or literature research.)

I’m currently taking
stinging nettle 2x day 500mg/pill - 3 weeks now
DIM 2X day 100 MG pill. 1 week. I thought might have high estradiol
zinc 50 MG
vitamin D3 5000 morning and 5000 afternoon
fish oil
should I stop taking some of them… like the DIM?
I’m in miami Florida plenty of sun with tan skin and play softball in the sun 2 x a week for 3- 4 hours. Don’t know why I’m vitamin D Deficient; heard tan skin tend to be Vitamin D deficient.
What do you think of Ashwaganda? read it raises LH and testosterone levels.

.

Herbs will not fix your problem.

Thyroid looks good as far as labs are concerned.

You can check your oral body temperatures as an overall check of thyroid function. Should be around 97.7 or better when you first wake up and also check that you hit 98.6 in the afternoon.

Your HPTA is not been inhibited by elevated estrogens or prolactin. Your AST/ALT seem to rule out problems with liver and your E2 levels also suggest that your liver is not an issue.

FSH is a better indicator of your LH status than LH itself. You are secondary.

We have not found a cause for your secondary hypogonadism. You may need to start TRT, but check body temperatures first.

So you don’t take any medications at all? Nothing?

Nope

Have you taken Finasteride, Acutane, any hair loss drug, or any drug for BPH?

nope, nothing.
it’s weird because I don’t feel weak, depressed anymore and I have plenty of energy. Also, since I started taking those supplements, I’m getting very SOLID morning wood every day and during the day some libido is back.
what do you think?

Last time I did my test was on Feb 2015:
Out of Range (1)
LH 0.9 Low In Range High 1.5-9.3 mIU/mL
Additional Results (7)
FSH 1.7 Low In Range High 1.6-8.0 mIU/mL
TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL, LC/MS/MS
335 ng/dL
FREE TESTOSTERONE
61.3 pg/mL

SO at first thought I was feeling better, then I felt LIKE SHIT, weak, no libido, cialis barely working, little to NONE semen volume .
Not taking anything … fast forward to Nov 2015 and I started feeling better, sexually, etc…
Went in to get tested again:
FSH 2.0 Low In Range High 1.6-8.0 mIU/mL
LH 1.5 Low In Range High 1.5-9.3 mIU/mL
FREE TES… 104.1 Low In Range High 35.0-155.0 pg/mL
TESTOSTE Total 585 Low In Range High 250-1100 ng/dL

I do feel better, still low semen volume, libido still kind of weak.
Comments, opinions?

Would be interesting to see where E2 is.

Found them: SHGB 31, Estradiol: 30
I will go get tested again in 4 months, will ask for E2, etc
Interesting to see how the LH, FSH went up by ~0.5
Total testosterone from 335 ng/dL to 585 ng/dL
Free testosterone from 61.3 pg/mL to 104.1 pg/mL

I’m assuming the low semen volume has to do with the low FSH, right?
I was going out of my mind for many months, thank GOD, i’m doing better now.
I wonder why my numbers have gone up significantly ( not complaining though )

E2 is too high and SHBG goes up, reducing FT.

In the suggested reading, see if you can see any reasons for increased E2.
Liver is not the reason if AST/ALT is a guide.

Lowering E2 can increase LH/FSH.

Sexual performance is mostly a T and E2 issue. Guys on TRT with LH/FSH=zero can perform well.

Please review all of my posts in this thread for things that you have missed or not done.

i have reviewed all your posts.
I wonder why my numbers have gone up significantly, why do you think?

Everything is the body is unsteady. Diets and activities are unsteady.

should I take DIM to lower e2?
thanks for your help

You can try DIM. But I don’t recall any post where it worked well.
It sells well.

will try it , thanks
