The Beast
We’re getting like 180 horses at the front wheels here. I’ve made an intake out of pipes and filters that I’ve gathered from Home Depot.

Z’s are a bitch to autocross too i found out. especially when you have only owned it for 2mo and don’t “know” the car yet.[/quote]

This was the week before Memorial Day weekend at a friends house.

'02 convertible GT black leather, I love it.
This is a pic off the net, my car is exactly the same except without the bar in the back and I have some sweet exhaust pipes sticking out the back and 'MUSTANG" in big black letters on the bumper.
Sitting in the garage at the moment because I don’t like parking it down town where people like to hit your cars
lol

Thanks man. That car was a beast…
Whats with all the freaking Z’s.
Its a decent enough car, but its what people that dont know much about cars buy.
Too expensive for the performance level, you could take an older American car and make it completely sick for less. Minor suspension, brake, and frame adjustments and a 351W punched out to something like 408+ CI and you’ve got a fucking monster, easily a 10 second car with a little rubber and not much else, and goes like fuck on the street.
All for about 15 grand, my buddy used to buy old foxes and just build basically the same damn car all day to re-sell, same formula, classic build, absolute monsters those things.
Get some nice paint on them and they looked the part well enough too, not really a “beautiful car” but it was “handsome” and fast as anything.
I did own a Z once, but it was a 1980, 280ZX and it had a Ford 5.0 with the works under the hood. The art of 302 building is more like finger paints these days its been done so many times, but horsepower is horsepower.
Truth be told I wanted a 350 chevy in it, and its VERY doable, just have to move a few parts to get the hood to fit, but I already had the 302 cheap from a buddy and it fits like a glove so I said fuck it.
Reworked suspension and illegal usage of more or less straight piped exhaust, I eventually got glass packs on the bottom which rocked, but it ran loud and hot as fuck for a long time, I just swapped cats on it for inspection, and tuned it down to where he was running like a pussy.
Thing went like absolute hell. That was my baby and I loved her, more than any other car Ive owned. And more than alot of girlfriends Ive had.
But she died tragically, I actually cried, Ill admit it. It was all my fault.
It was raining, I got T-boned, spun many times, shredded my baby, I was devastated, I actually almost died, If I got hit a half a second later his grill guard would have been through my door and in my chest and face as there are no side impact beams to speak of on the old Z’s.
Id like to think she gave her life to defend me…
Well thats my rambling story, carry on.
Not my cars but one is funny and the other is a beast. These were just some of the nice cars I saw at G-13.
funny
and beast

Scott Settlemire from GM driving the ZR1. If you are wondering who that is, his nickname is F-body father.

Yep that would definitely qualify as beastly.
stop posting cars that you don’t own. or this thread will just spin into “car’s i want” which is pretty much endless from all the different tastes we have here from sports cars to trucks to sweet honda mini-vans.
