The thing I hated about Phil Collins besides his music was, through out the 80’s, he never disapeared. There seemed to be a pereputal Phil Collins/Genesis song on the air somewhere at all times in a massive 9 year block. It started with “Duke” and ended with “But Seriously…” and I got real sick of him as time went on. One of the things which destroyed music in the 80’s imo.

You’re right.
Radio stations played his pap so much because it was just that "lite rock’ stuff that they could play in the office etc.
There are some bands/singers that you know they must make their money from radio because no one could possibly care enough about their bland songs to go out and buy the CD.
Like Maroon 5…they should just play their shit right in the studio and transmit it right to shitty offices all over the shitty place.

And if they don’t Cher their profits we’ll ask for our Nickelback or threaten to cut off their Air Supply and they’ll be Hauling Oats.
