Patricia: Care to comment on training/diet?

Hey, Patricia–saw your pics on the yahoo site–impressive! Do you mind letting the rest of us know how you train/diet? I immagine you do quite a bit of cardio–if I recall from previously talking with you, usu in the form of heavy bag work. Thanks in advance. (PS–also how many beers a week?)

I don’t do cardio like 30-minutes plus of bike or treadmill. I avoid them like the plague. What I do do, however is heavybag training ala, “boxing rounds” (30-minutes) a couple of days a week, jump rope (20-30 minutes) first thing in the morning also, two days a week (but will be picking that up to three next week). And Ko and I had been performing Joel Marion’s “Natural Bulking Program” - which was weight training 5-days a week (a three on, one off cycle). We took a break for San Diego and this week are officially back on this program.

During the time right after San Diego, to get us back in the gym we were training three days: squats/deads (abs, too) on day one; day two would be dumbbell cleans and shoulder presses; day three would be bench, incline DB press (abs, also).

Next month: Ko and I begin MMA training, he probably three nights a week, me just two and then I'll be also boxing (training), two nights a week. I'm also going to begin taking Methoxy-7 next month. Right now it's Creatine, protein powder (Bioplex brand), and... wait, I think that's it. I'll also begin taking Vitamin C and a Multi-Vitamin Mineral.

Hey, does this all answer your question? Sorry for being so verbose!

Oh, of late, I have happily put to rest the “no beer” rule and have been consuming about 2-3 beers a night - but I drink 'em mostly on Thursdays, Fridays and weekends. Monday through Wednesday, I may have one, but usually I give it a rest. Next week: I’m calming the beer intake down a bit - to just weekends. And maybe will have a glass or two of wine in the evenings instead. Patricia

Thanks for the reply…One more question, is the w/o you stated that you were doing different than the ripped/rugged/dense rountine? Thanks again!

Yup, it is different. The routine you mentioned is the 5x5. We did do that one - and it’s a great routine. Once done with that (6-weeks), we began the Natural Bulking Program. Joel has mentioned it in a training/nutrition thread. I’ll see if I can find it.
