Pat Tillman - T-Man

Hey Fiji sorry to hear you live in berkley.
Kerry will be a serious problem. Lets not forget that the democrats along with Kerry are one of the main reason why families are having to purchase body armor for there soldiers and marines when they get deployed.

BTW - I dont give out much info about me but I did because I like expressing my opinions and feelings on T-forum. Pat Tillman dying sucks and every other soldier or Marine that sacrificed it all and is not coming home…all I can say is my heart goes out to the families and friends. God Bless everyone and thank you for reading my posts. All gave some, some gave all

“For those who have fought for freedom, life has a flavor that the protected will never know”. Rest in peace Pat.

RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!

I personaly dont agree with Americas involvment in the middle east BUT even I, regardless of political point of view or anything else have nothing but the upmost respect for anyone that has the courage, conviction and honour to put their life on the life for something or someone they truely believe in.

His example, while no more noble or respectable than that of service men and women around the world, is more notable due to the other glowing oppurtunities open to him. I hope that if push ever comes to shove I can show the same quality.

God speed.

Before yesterday I didn’t know anyone who had died in the wars in the Middle East. I never knew anyone who has died in any war period.

When Pat Tillman’s death was reported -I knew someone. His death was not more spectacular than any other war casualty - but I knew him.

In this current conflict we have lost around 860 heroes (Afgan and Iraq combined). There are 860 families, and friends of 860 families that have each lost their own Pat Tillman.
Their blood ran just as red, and their deaths are just as certain as as Pat Tillman’s.

When it gets right down to the nut cuttin’ each of these brave individuals gave up way more than a 3.6 million dollar contract. And we should never forget their sacrifice - nor should we let there deaths be in vain.

i wan’t calling you a selfish retard, i was calling most of us t-men selfish retards (by your standards), because alot of us care about things that shouldnt matter and dont actively defend our country.

im not trying to start an argument, but i just get really annoyed when people start calling other people selfish at the cost of great people (for example people like tillman who changed his life and went on to do something he believes in).

you’ve got to realize that EVEN tillman was just like everyone else before he made that decision. he was playing football, going to make millions, had a family, and a good life… then he changed (changed, the key word here).

anyway i just think when someone great dies like this, bringing up all this ‘propaganda’ and bad mouthing everyone else for being ‘selfish’ is just sick.

see what i mean? anyway, peace

Here’s to another Ranger in the sky. RLTW

In the Rangers we have a brotherhood that EVERY LAST ONE OF US would die defending, and we would do it a thousand times with a fucking smile on our face, and that is exactly what Pat did. Pat died defending a brotherhood that only Rangers could possibly comprehend. The world is now a much poorer place with the passing of yet another Ranger. But I want everyone here to be sure of one thing: Pat gave those bastards hell before he died. Tip one back for another Ranger in the sky and remember him in your prayers. RLTW

The following from this link: FAMILY DEMANDS THE TRUTH / New inquiry may expose events that led to Pat Tillman?’s death Posted earlier.

When Pat first passed on many of the Iraq and Bush supports, as can be read on this post, had the utmost fierce support for him which is totally understandable.

I am curious to find out if now that it has been found that he thought the Iraq war was illegal and encouraged people to vote for John Kerry if some of the ideologues still feel the same?

The following is from the link posted for those who don’t want to read the whole article.

What are your thoughts?

Baer, who served with Tillman for more than a year in Iraq and Afghanistan, told one anecdote that took place during the March 2003 invasion as the Rangers moved up through southern Iraq.

?I can see it like a movie screen,? Baer said. ?We were outside of (a city in southern Iraq) watching as bombs were dropping on the town. We were at an old air base, me, Kevin and Pat, we weren?t in the fight right then. We were talking. And Pat said, ?You know, this war is so f? illegal.? And we all said, ?Yeah.? That?s who he was. He totally was against Bush.?

Another soldier in the platoon, who asked not to be identified, said Pat urged him to vote for Bush?s Democratic opponent in the 2004 election, Sen. John Kerry.

Senior Chief Petty Officer Stephen White ? a Navy SEAL who served with Pat and Kevin for four months in Iraq and was the only military member to speak at Tillman?s memorial ? said Pat ?wasn?t very fired up about being in Iraq? and instead wanted to go fight al Qaeda in Afghanistan. He said both Pat and Kevin (who has a degree in philosophy) ?were amazingly well-read individuals ? very firm in some of their beliefs, their political and religious or not so religious beliefs.?

Tillman an independent thinker? Critical of Bush? Against the war?

Yeah - he’s totally worthless in my book now. His death was a sham, a publicity stunt put on by the military.

Is that what you want to hear? Good luck with that - as I don’t think any right thinking person would say those things. He gave his life for the defense of this country. Period. anything that the press, or his parents, want to make out of it is secondary to that fact.
