I’ve been hooked on the cytosport whey for years now. Used to prefer the chocolate mint, then one day tried banana, and then cookies n creme, which is now my prefered flavor. I did try the Biotest Whey when they first brought it out, but I need some flavor. I haad a hard time putting it down, and soon found myself adding sugar free chocolate syrup and all sorts of stuff that I did back in the day when protein powders all tasted horrible.
As far as the usnic acid, all of the studies that show anything ‘bad’ have amounts in the 100’s of mgs used. If you take the recommended 30mg a day, you should be fine. I have yet to hear of anyone getting any bad effects from such a low dosing. It’s like artificial sweeteners, there will always be people screaming about how bad they are, but ignoring the fact that you’d have to drink 10 liters of coke every hour for 3 weeks continually to suffer any bad effects at all -lol.
Besides, look at all the folks who ‘poison’ their kidneys with alcohol, or the people who will undoubtedly suffer diabetes and cardiac issues… these are usually the folks who will complain about the safety of sports supplements used in a responsible manner. I’ve been on it for over a month, and while I can’t be certain of the exact effects as I’m contest dieting for the 1st time (very strict diet!), I’d like to think it’s conttributing overall ![]()
