So, I am finally starting to get more serious about the iron game and I knew the first thing I’d have to change is my nutrition. I’ve never ate 1g of protein per lb of body mass. I’ve almost always eaten 2 many carbs. Now I am changing that. The following is basically going to be what I eat 90% of the time. My main question is about fats. Are things like cheese, dressing, peanut butter good sources of fat? And what are some other ones?
These are basically going to be my staples.
Beef, Tuna with a little salad dressing (yes i know im odd), Chicken, Chilli, Eggs, Milk, Oatmeal, Lots of fruits and veggies, Powerade for my post workout mix with my whey isolate, whole wheat bread, cottage cheese, almonds, pb. What else should I include?
Sorry to hijack the thread, but what are the best alternatives to Grow! and Surge as I cant get them in the UK.
List looks good, look at olive oil and fish oil too

- Not enough money for both Grow! and Surge.
- I am pretty much following that template except i dont think im gettin enough HEALTHY fats. Are the fats that come from cheese, pb, dressings healthy?[/quote]
Healthy unsaturated fats are olive oil, nuts of all kinds, natty pb, vinaigrette and canola dressings, avocado, fat from fatty fish, fish oil pills. Some saturated fat is necessary for proper hormone levels and should not hurt your health. If you eat red meat and other animal products you’re probably getting all you need.
