today was my 1st cheat meal, god damn how great i felt , psychologically and strength wise. i noticed low carb diet is good , but a person loses tons of strength.

Weigth dropped for ~ 107 to 102, but last week went back up to 104.5 kg , and that was before my cheat meal, i have no idea why my weight is going updown , thought it may be water retention, but am keeping a close eye on my salt intake . Anyone have any idea what may cause my body to hit a platue? and what ways are there to counter it, thats one, and two running on low carb diet is keeping me weak , any good ideas hwo to counter it too? a word of notice after every training i sometimes eat rice, brown bread, dates, raisins, almonds but still . On my cheat meal today i could instantly feel my strength comming back

1st question: there’s TONS of factors that could be causing the up-down numbers just a few examples: what time of day you weighed, how you slept, what you ate, how hydrated you were etc. with that being said you still dropped in weight overall, and judging from your pics you’ve actually made pretty good progress, definitely look leaner and better overall

2nd question: i don’t think low-carb is necessarily keeping you weak, it might be tough to find energy to work out sometimes, but staying low-carb is great for burning fat and it keeps your natural GH pretty high too. if you really don’t think you have enough energy maybe consider cycling your carbs, something like 2 days moderate/high carbs and 5 days low carb instead of 7 days low carb. probably help you have a little more energy.

overall good work tho keep it up

What’s a cheat meal if you are going “low carb” and still eating rice and bread already? Also, carbs restore glycogen and glycogen binds with water, so if you are eating carbs some days and not another that would explain weight fluctuation. I’ll drop 6 pounds after a carb backloading day if I follow it with 2 ultra-low carb days in a row. The 6 pounds isn’t fat fluctuation, obviously, its water.

Says who? Maybe there’s some strength loss when we’re talking 10% to 6% bodyfat, but not at your level…there shouldn’t be any!

But, hey, I bet the cheat meal tasted good. That was worth it, huh?

I’m out. Good luck. I look forward to seeing how you end up in another two months.

tasted great

I think it’s funny you started another thread asking for help, but blatantly ignored Chris’ advice after he dedicated some time to helping you out. Why do you think anyone else is going to offer any advice that you’re not going to follow now?

Bump for… congratulations or told-you-so’s?

Looks like OP hasn’t logged in since October 9th, but I’ve been wondering how his “$3000 contest” turned out. I’m still 50-50 on whether he was a full-on troll or a plain old oblivious newb.

I put it at 10:90 troll:newb.

I was looking forward to seeing something out of this though, kinda disappointed.
