Okay, I Need Your Opinion

Hey, so i am wondering a few things. I have read so many articles and different stuff and half say workout for 45 minutes or less. I am wondering this because every bigger guy i know is in the gym for 1.5 hours plus a day. I am wondering your guys take on this and what you respond best to/what works the best?

I personally like hitting the gym hard and fast, but also like hitting it hard and fast but over a longer period of time. I just am really stiff the next day. Please let me know what you think.

i would say it depends on what level you are at, your recovery ability, type of lifting you do…so on and so forth. this is so subjective from person to person.

there are plenty of guys who have considerable muscle mass that only workout for 45 min, some workout longer. it would be hard to believe someone can workout hard AND fast for 1.5 hours, unless you are genetically gifted. i think it would wear most people out to much, unless you split it up.

i lift for 50-60min.

there you go.

Yeah, but you’re a fucked up baby thing with blood spilling out of your mouth. That’s probably how long it takes you to creep people out.

Well I’d say the longest I’ve went with short rest periods and everything probably a good solid hour. But like I said am indredibly stiff after. As for holy macaronis reply…thanks? I am just curious to what others think, because you can’t believe everything you read. I have been responding well to every second day training

Day 1
Bench 5x5
Incline dumbell press 3x6
Military press 4x8
Close grip bench 3x8
Dips 3xfailure
Calves and core

Day 2
Squat 5x3
Glute ham raise 2x10
Bent over row 4x6
Pullups 3xfailure
Bb curls 2x12
Calves and core

Day 3
Incline bench 3x5
Db bench press 3x8
Close grip bench 3x8
Dips 3xfailure
Calves and core

Day 4
Deadlifts 3x3
Leg press 2x10
Lat pulldown 4x6
Db curls 3x8
Calves and core

But seem to never be sore and always want to train the day after but hold myself back? I am thinking of switching to a split but not for a few more weeks. Should I keep doing this? Or switch after a few weeks? I have tried the split type training with a weak diet and saw no results…obviously because of my eating. I now am done school so eating is my number one priority and have been for a while now and have finally been gaining weight at a decent rate. Only thing is I’m an addict for being in the gym and hate working out every second day and not being sore…makes me feel like I should be in there pushing even harder. Since last posting here I’ve gained a solid 15 to 20 pounds. I am now at 190lbs. At 5"10 age 16

Amazing.

I try to keep it under an hour. I think giving yourself a time limit helps keep your pace up, making your body work harder and helping you be more efficient.
