lol, come on. Today is the first day I’ve seen the NBCNEWS thing.

You didnt create air, nor earth, nor molecules, gravity, or whatever the fuck else. Therefore you should worship the flying spaghetti monster and pay daily tributes to him.

Jesus fucking christ, business owners mold resources into capital and then into a finished product through their OWN initiative and drive.

Applying Obama’s logic backwards means that he owes US, as taxpayers everything. Dumbass.

sounds like the exact words someone who has never started a successful business would say.

Jesus fucking Christ…

I was really hoping that shit was taken out of context.

I mean, I think I get what he is trying to say, but his perspective of the whole situation is retarded. Yes we all work together in a way, yes we are all intertwined in a giant thing called society, but good fucking lord.

Can anyone please, and I promise not to call you names, explain to me how you justify to yourself voting for this guy a second time?

I’m seriously curious, I just want to know what about him and his ideas make you feel like, after the last 4 years, he should still be running this country.
He can sing and dance.

What did Obama create before he was elected President? Community organizer, Senator for two years, law professor. Big deal.

There has never been a man that held the office of the Presidency with less experience. If the press had done their job everyone would have known this.

Now we have a man in the White House who appears to be after every American who has ever made a buck, or created a job.

This is why the Republicans will lose . Because the Democrats will not win

Is it really a stretch for you to believe that he said things of this nature?
That’s not Obama in the video. It’s a double planted by teahadists in order to discredit Obama. The real Obama would never say anything like that.

Okay, from here: Business groups criticize Obama over remarks about government's role in success | Fox News

Had numbnuts just said:

"Campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt defended the premise of Obama’s comment.

“As President Obama said, those who start businesses succeed because of their individual initiative – their drive, hard work, and creativity,” LaBolt said in a statement. “But there are critical actions we must take to support businesses and encourage new ones – that means we need the best infrastructure, a good education system, and affordable, domestic sources of clean energy. Those are investments we make not as individuals, but as Americans, and our nation as a whole benefits from them.”"

Then it wouldn’t have been as retarded. But, the fact Barry said it the way he said it shows his stance on this country, and his perspective.

And his perspective is awful.

Yeah…ha ha…By the way how come none of his followers ever wonder where he came from? And I don’t mean the “birther” issue. I’m talking about his rise to the Presidency. Who is this guy anyway? How did he get into Harvard a very expensive school that takes more than just grades to get into. And speaking of grades where are Obama’s grades? Why did they put the lock down on those grades?

Who is behind Obama? Who ran his campaign? We all knew about Karl Rove 5 minutes after he signed on with Bush. But who is Obama’s “Karl Rove?”

That none of these questions have ever been asked by his minion, or the media is just a bit disturbing.

Once we know the answer to these questions I’m sure it will be quite clear whey the guy hates capitalism, including small business owners.

Hold on a second homie, YOU didn’t do shit. YOU didn’t pave the roads you used to drive to work, or create the internet. YOU aren’t anything, and that is why YOU should give back, because YOU are actually worth less than someone who didn’t do what YOU did.

SHit, YOU obviously didn’t even write the checks out of YOUR bank account to pay the people you employ.

Jeeze man, get with the times dawg. It is okay to discriminate as long as the group you are picking on has enough money.
Aside from the dawg part…this was verbatim listing to my father (business owner, employ’s around 15 people) this morning over coffee.

Dude was fucking LIVID.

“You didn’t build the road you take to work, so you didn’t build you business on your own” What an idiot.

Well, he can say it all he wants. No one outside of Fox is reporting on it.

He could call for extermination of Eskimos and 3/4 of the country would never hear about it unless Snookie brought it up between stints of giving her child fetal alcohal syndrome…

sorry, been a long day for me, lol

THAT’S IT, CB!!!

Don’t be HATIN’ on Snooki, now!!!

(You guys know me! I’d have a Snooki pic, but I’m not at my home computer!)

Maybe later tonight, after work!

Yep, the only thing on Yahoo’s page was the president kissing his wife at the basketball game…awwwwwwww

I just don’t understand why he gets a free pass, if Bush II had said that people who received public assistance for over a certain period of time would be required to assist in public projects (park upkeep, litter control, road maintenance ect.) he would have been CRUCIFIED.

But Obama can say that business owners are helpless without big brother and therefore should give more to people who are too lazy to work…and all you hear is crickets.

Hey guys, this is my first post in this section of T-Nation, but the thread title caught my attention (small business owner here).

A couple years ago, my small business was having a lot of trouble (along with the rest of the economy). We’d been around since 1978, my Grandfather started the company. We were at about 10 employees at the time, and we were losing money every month. I hadn’t taken a paycheck for several months in a row just to keep all my employees here. As a result of Obama’s administration, I was able to keep all of my employees jobs, because they could work 3 days a week and still collect partial unemployment for the extra 2 days that I could not pay them. I didn’t have to lay off anyone. This would not have been possible prior to Obama’s administration. Today I’m sitting at 20 employees with a night shift, with the most business this company has ever had. I owe quite a bit of this success to the current administration, and the way they handled certain aspects of the recession.

As for the idea that a small business owner is not entirely responsible for his successes, I would absolutely agree, and my Grandfather would have as well. We all rely on the successes of people before us, and those around us. Nobody acts in a bubble.

I realize this is anecdotal, but it’s just my perspective on Obama and small business owners.
