Comparison fail
One more time for the brain dead:
Black = Genetic
Homosexuality has never been proven to be genetic.
Also, you might note the many black civil rights leaders who recoil at the comparison.

This non-argument has been put to rest in these very pages.
What is it with our resident PWI atheists/secularists/leftists? Aren’t they supposed to be driven by Pure Reason ™ and not emotionalists who stick their fingers in their ears when faced with ideas that challenge their worldview?
Don’t look now, the dirty little secret is out - the atheists/secularists/leftists are the very irrational emotionalists driven by emotional/ideological conclusions rather than reasoned analysis they always claim their opponents to be.
how do you all still have the energy to do this for 20 pages?
I think sexuality in general is a mixture of genetics and environment. Either way it’s not a choice. Do you choose the women you’re attracted to? I don’t, it just happens.
So race and sexual orientation are comparable in the sense that they both aren’t choices made by the individual.

But it doesn’t matter what you think does it? That’s not why the 14th amendment was passed was it?

I don’t get it. Solomon didn’t have any husbands so what’s the connection?

I will be able to apply for citizenship in a few years though. I do hold a green card. Plus I was debating gay marriage in general.

The 14th amendment is the main basis of the L.G.B.T.Q. activists’ claim that gay marriage is unconstitutional. The 14th amendment was one of the reconstruction amendments after the civil war dealing with discrimination against black people. My point is that the 14th amendment has nothing to do with gay marriage and there is no legal basis for gay marriage therefore it doesn’t matter what people think about it.
EDIT = I meant it is the main basis of the L.G.B.T.Q. activists’ claim that traditional marriage is unconstitutional - that is in essence what their argument is.

That’s a funny little belief system you have. May I begin making fun now?

Similar to this, I think. In that using the bible as the basis of one’s opposition seems silly to many people.

If it were proven to be genetic would you still be against it?

Why is it funny? Studies have shown both and neither play a factor.
Also what is your stance? Do you think sexuality is a choice?

SM’s mentioned the Bible because it was brought up by someone on YOUR side.

Not referring to anyone in particular, just expressing a popular sentiment. I don’t want to be grouped with anyone, either.

Too late you’re pro gay marriage so you are grouped with that bunch.

Insufferable as ever. I’m not pro gay marriage. I’m pro equal rights for same sex couples. I don’t care what they call it. I’m not religious so marriage has no inherent grand meaning to me. Thus, I don’t even get why there is such focus for them on calling it such.
Most people that I’ve met who are vehemently against it on the grounds of religion aren’t really that religious either. The whole thing to me isn’t that big of a deal. Give them equal rights, call it a day.

I’ve noticed that nothing is really a big deal when it comes to homosexualit (or much else) with those who are young adults. They’ve been indoctrinated by the liberal media, and liberal Universities to think just as you’ve stated, “no big deal.” But to those of us who have respect for marriage we think it is a big deal. And we also think that two men having sex is nothing even remotely similar to marriage.
As for equal rights for same sex couples, who is to say that any two guys living together cannot get these rights? Simply make a false claim and collect your special rights.
Finally, as has been brought up before, where does it all end? Homosexual unions today, polygamous unions tomorrow and incestual unions the day after…and on and on.
Expand the definition of marriage one time and it will most assuredly happen again. Don’t get me wrong homosexual marriage (or ssu) is bad enough.
