On whether the new president is thinking about gun regulation, he doesn’t have to. He’s nominated Eric Holder as attorney general. Holder, Janet Reno and others drafted an amicus brief in Heller urging the Supreme Court to uphold the DC handgun law on the basis that the 2nd Amendment guarantees a collective, not individual right.
“Gun Bans”, do not hurt anyone except law abiding citizens and Law Enforcements’ ability to protect life and liberty. The simple fact is that a person who wants a weapon for illegal activity or intends to do harm with it, will aquire that weapon by any means necessary, legal or not. These “bans” that are supposed to protect Americans are the very thing that makes the criminal even more emboldened.
Need an example? Take a look at any footage of the LA bank robbery shootout, where even the police were not allowed to carry these banned weapons. And lets not forget that the ATF tried to have the gun-store owner who gave the A2’s and ammunition to the LAPD brought up on charges.
As I’ve heard it said, if we continue to outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.

Tool, how likely do you think it is that an Obama-refitted Supreme Court will re-try Heller?
I think it’s highly unlikely that an Obama packed SCOTUS will get another shot at the exact same issue they reviewed in Heller. Heller is, for all practical purposes, the law of the land. Federal courts are duty bound to follow it as precedent.
Having said that, it appears the mayor of Chicago doesn’t seem to think that Heller is binding of his city. The 2nd Amendment Foundation has filed suit against the City of Chicago. If there is going to be a test case on whether a non-DC municipality can ban handguns, this will likely be the case. You can follow the case here:

I watched a bit of the opening episode of the new Knightrider.I died a little inside.
Cylons,on the other hand, rock mightily…the modern Battlestar Galactica series is without a doubt the best SF series of all time.
Second best.
Because there was, is, and always will be, Firefly.
I have Firefly and Serenity, and while it is my second favorite,Galactica squeaks in front for me.
But it’s close.
Good taste,have you.
The new Knightrider sucks or it just isn’t “great”?
BSG really grew on me. Love it now.
However, Firefly/Serenity I still like better. One of the epic tragedies in TV history. That show had the potential for true lasting greatness. Pure sci-fi genius.
