'Not Meant' to Eat?

If this thread taught us anything, it’s that there are several different opinions on the definition of ‘meant to eat’, and that no-one is budging on their definition.

Find out what works for you (experiment!) and then stick with that. End of story.[/quote]

You wrote “opinions”. This is not a matter of opinion. There are people saying dumb shit like “didn’t evolve to eat,” When they have no idea what they’re talking about.

I guess we are not meant to discuss this anymore.

I want it to come back to life (and personally believe it should be stickied) because it absolutely irritates me whenever I hear someone saying “this food group is bad” or “carbs are the reason why we are fat”. We have been eating GRAINZ and drinking MILKZ and eating da fruit (Not just berries. For some reason only berries seem to be acceptable fruits for consumption by the paleo folk) for millenia.

Those of the more health conscious amongst us have also been having a few drinks here and there and a few cheat meals per week and have done fine.

Brick

I take your point, but but I was referring more to the Bushido “not meant to eat = stuff that causes inflammation” and the other view of “not meant to eat = can’t make ATP from it” (is this a Stronghold/SkyNett camp view? - cant remember).

These are both valid, and just boil down to a difference of opinion.

I cant help but feel that every time I open my mouth I make it worse.

Nah - people just like to argue dude. I’ve said MORE than my share here, and I’m done with this argument. People can decide for themselves what they personally are “meant to eat”. If they want to ignore science, then that is their prerogative.
