My condolences to you Magnus. I know what it’s like to put a pet down. Take the time to greive and ease into the normal routine.
Mike- we all know you are a loser, you’ve been a loser since you were a child, your life is truly going nowhere, and you’re not even much of a man anymore (and you know what I’m talking about,) which is exactly why you come to a site called “Testosterone.” You can’t be a real man in your own life, so you come to this forum and try to be a hero. That is sad. But what’s more sad is that you fail, every time you try. Time and again, this impotent little “man” who thinks he’s some guardian of liberty and goodness, comes onto this website and hurls insults at everyone, because he thinks that’s somehow heroic. In Mike’s little warped mind, a hero is the guy who tries to save someone from burning to death by spitting on them. A hero is the guy who walks into a rape clinic and tells the little girl that was just brutalized that she shouldn’t have looked so enticing to the rapist. (Not that you would even know what enticing is, since you lost your ability to produce a certain male hormone years ago from never having used your balls in the first place.) You know what? I take calling you a loser back… only because it is too much of an insult to any one who has ever been called a loser to be grouped in the same category as you. You are a joke. And, in the spirit of you being a joke, I would like to end with this-- Q: Why did Mike the Libertarian flunk out of “Man School?” A: Because he lost his test!

Thanks again to everyone for all the kind thoughts. We’ve pretty much gotten back into the groove of everyday life and getting to the gym. The up side to all this has been the ability to spend more time with our other dogs with all of them being able to be together in the same room. I can now go running with all three at once which is a lot of fun. I get some pretty funny looks from people when I’m out running with two pitbulls and a rottie/dane cross. I also bought a couple of pulling harnesses for the pitties and I take them out on my rollerblades. Flying down the street behind two pitties running as fast as they can is a huge rush. Maybe I’ll get my wife to take a pic and post it on the photos section. To raider: Sorry to hear about your friend. Losing a dog sucks but it really sucks when it’s before their time. Sorry about your beloved magnus. Since I love tattoo’s you should maybe think about getting one done of him on your arm or back. Just a thought.
Did you try prozac for your dog? I’ve heard that works well. No kidding.
sorry to hear about your dog. we have three and i know that they become your family. when we get our 4th puppy (hopefully soon) i was considering naming it Magnus too, after the great Magnus Von Magnussen. (sp?)… fellow dog lovers are the only people who can really feel what you feel right now…
To Pri: Ya, had him on Prozac for the last two years. It worked well for a good while, but slowly began to stop working. Had we not had other dogs it may not have been as bad. In fact if he hadn’t become so unpredictably agressive with our other dogs we would have kept trying to find answers. Predictable agression where you at least get a second or two warning is workable, but when it comes out of the blue it is next to impossible to deal with. The only answer would have been total seclusion in a bed room or some place and that would have only made his symptoms and condition worse. It was a brutal decision and I still struggle with it. To Podge: Thanks. Ya I’m one of those weird people who prefers dogs or animals in general to people.
Yeah, Magnus, I’m the type of person who likes animals more than people, too. Let’s face it, a dog would never say something like: (in a high pitched girlie-man voice) “You’re a dog-murderer!” And a dog would especially not do that sort of thing while a human being is grieving. Maybe we just need to start putting certain people to sleep.
I second the vote for selective compulsory human euthanasia.
