Other than dday the one the one that sticks the most is Doug. I work for the phone company and when people call I always answer “X Communications this is Don” I swear 95% of the people will say “yea Doug this is xxxx” I used to correct people so often it became the running joke in my office and now I’m known as Doug. I kind of like it but don’t let anyone know.[/quote]
I deal with the same thing while working for a telecom company. I’ll tell people “X Communications this is Doug” and people call me, of all things, Bill. How they get that from Doug I have no idea, but it happens.

You should start answering “Hi this is Don” they’ll likely say “Hi Doug”

I have a couple:
Paul is my official nickname (My real name is Pavlo)
I was also given the name “The Ukrainian Tank”. (I have no idea why. I am not that big, strong, or that hard of a hitter.)
These two kids called me the “Chuck Norris” of science. I rather like that one.
“Steroid Kid”. They just make fun of me like that because I actually like to lift and I am good all around instead of one thing.
[Edit]
I forgot about “Techno Freak”.

TC is my lifelong nickname but i had p.e. teacher who started calling me “high-c” because i would usually be high for gym/last class of the day. pretty much everyone from school still calls me high-c.

What’s not to admire?
Crazy Fucker, H-Bomb, and my last name with a y at the end (which is the one that endures).
