Its looking pretty good for you guys this year though...as much as I hate to admit it, you

Another Habs fan here.
I thought they played really well last night. Hopefully the whole series will be that good.
BTW Cowboy, everytime I see your avatar I think he’s holding the Stanley Cup, so it seemed fitting you started this thread, even though I didn’t know you were a hockey fan.
The habs? The fuckin’ HABS?
Ok boys, I’ll be dead serious, here. I have no idea how anyone can feel pride for the fucking habs.
They have more turtles than the Galapogos Islands.
Mike Komisarek has to be the biggest fuckin’ coward in the league - going after Matt Hunwick at the end last night? You KNOW if Looch/Thorny/Z/etc are out there he’s not pulling that shit. And Maxim Lapierre going after Kessel after we took the league - and you guys LIKE this team?
Sorry Rugger, I’m gonna have to jersey you if I see you at the gym.
Also, the habs have a guy whose name translates to the word ‘gravy’.
Need I say more?

Actually, as a sports fan, I thought what Hossa did was very refreshing given the usual “take the money and run” approach of most athletes these days. All he wants to do is win a championship, which is how I wish it was for all the players.
However, as a Pens fan, I hope he shits himself in a public place sometime very soon.
GO BLUES !! …nahh im just kiddin

What do you know, you’re just a funckin’ anteater!
Bruins v. Canadians … I predict a war. Bruins’ll win it, but it’s going to be brutal. I hope I’m right

Sharks going duck hunting tonight! >>>[/quote]
I saw the third. While the post and the crossbar played netminder a couple times for Hiller what I saw overall was a less than entirely present SJ team (don’t know where they were) and a squad of ducks on a mission.
Maybe a little overstated. It was a hard fought period, but Anaheim’s penalty kill was great and every Shark chance was met with a dangerous attack the other way. When desperation time closed in it was the Ducks who put the clincher in the net WITH Nabakov still in. Surprised me a bit too.

I disagree
/cry
Flames had the lead most of the game, and drew first blood too… Should have been a W. Just couldn’t keep it out when it counted.
Oh well, GAME 2 BABY!

If I’m San Jose, I’m awful nervous. Joe Thornton just ain’t a playoff guy.
Lets go Blues!
Their going to need to figue out a way to get the puck past luongo. That guy was amazing in net.
Blues didn’t play their best game that night. They have a bunch of young players. They probably had some playoff jitter. We’ll see tonight how they do.

Fuckin A...they put up a good fight last night. Can
t wait for Game 2! I start a new job on Monday and my boss (dispatcher) is a die-hard bruins fan…should be good times
You`re not the first to mention the avatar/Stanley Cup on here…or maybe it was you who mentioned it when I first joined the site last year? Either way…GO HABBBBSSS!!!

Hossa is a consummate professional competitor and was as good as we’d hoped. Having said that our defense was abysmal this year, especially by our standards. A good first game is great, but I’m not real hopeful about our longevity in the playoffs this year.
Now having said that I feel like I know Osgood like a brother and I’m tellin you he is one of the few that is at his best under pressure and the more the better.
If we find the level of play we’re capable of it’s ours, but I’m not counting on it. We have like 38 one goal victories, huge goals against and a habit of 3rd period collapses this year. None of that was apparent last night though so we’ll see.
Was at the Bruins-Habs game last night…AWESOME that our boys pulled it off with Chara’s blast. This series will definately be a battle. Hopefully the B’s can pull it off. I know its weird saying that but I get nervous whenever the B’s make it to the playoffs, they seem to fall apart.
I’m a Rangers fan. Anyone take them seriously? I don’t for the most part, but part of me thinks that if Lundquist gets hot and the rest of the team steps up they could surprise some people. They’ve played well the last two playoffs and lost in the semis both times to two very good teams in two tough series. Maybe that experience will help them actually beat the top teams rather then just play them tough.
LETS GO FLYERS!
Yeah… I’m a Flyers fan, but judging on Wed’s performance, its not happenin.
My thoughts:
*Crosby is an over-rated douchebag.
*Sean Avery just needs to die.
*Detroit wins it in 6 over Boston.

Gotta hand it to ya, that was a hell of a play on Chara`s winning goal…no chance for Price on that cannon slap-shot either. Though the penalty call on the Habs late in the 3rd was reffing douchebaggery at its finest!
