You should do an immunolabs sensitively test to see everything you can’t have

That’s actually really good to know. Its frequently put out on this forum that we are all iodine deficient (Americans) because we stopped using iodized salt years ago.

Edit: Whether this is true for some people or not, I am not sure, but the way it is stated on this forum, it makes it seem like its a HUGE problem. And reading through older posts, it looks like that mindset got some people into trouble. Sounds familiar.

I just read up all about iodine and cattle. The farmers keep their cattle’s thyroids healthy by using iodine in their feed. Then we get it from the dairy and meat.

Yeah. My TSH was close to 3. When I went in trt AND stabilized my e2 and body adjusted to my T, my tsh is under 2 now

Done that a few years back… I actually think a lot of the stuff that messes me up are not the foods and alcoholic drinks themselves but the crap used to process them.

If we were all idodine deficient we would all be rolling around with goiter.

Good deal man.

Absolutely.

I’m not sure if you posted about this or not but a new finding in trt parients is that once your testosterone dosages are kept constant for about three months your body will naturally adjust aromatization rates as well as shbg. This was from a seminar in New Zealand a few months back.there is a ton of misinformation floating around here and a lot of it is dangerous.

Amazing, sometimes the answer is right under our noses.

There was a post a while ago discussing that subject. The idea that E2 normalizes after a while. A few people stated that they felt as though it had normalized for them. But like always it was shot down and ridiculed. Good to know about the SHBG too.

I work in a building of about 125 people. I know 2 that have had their thyroids removed due to goiter, one of meds for thyroid issues, and one with nodules.

@NH_Watts hypothyroid has many causes that go way beyond iodine deficiency. Hashimotos, environmental toxins, genetics, adrenal function, heavy metal toxicity and cancer just to name a few. Just because someone is on thyroid meds doesn’t mean they are iodine deficient. And to take your point literally- that’s 3% of your building. If we are all iodine deficient why isn’t it much greater? Roughly 12% of the population will likely develop a thyroid issue in their lifetime. That means 88% will be fine even functioning with toxins etc all around and with shit food. This whole notion of rampant iodine deficiency is just ridiculous.

Yea shot down and ridiculed by people with anecdotal knowledge and obsessions with medicines that crush your lipids and health and destroy your bones and immune systems who are obsessed with chasing lab ranges.

Here’s the kicker for everyone.

E2 levels can change plus or minus 50% in one DAY. We have seen it in saliva testing as well as lab draws done multiple times in a day. So you’re pushing meds chasing a number from a previous lab result that isn’t even an accurate fucking number. Labs for hormones are like shining a flashlight in a cave. All you see is that very moment right in front of you. Your body’s hormones are constantly changing and in flux. Your blood work is that very moment which changes a few hours later. So go by how you feel and give your body a chance to figure out what to do. The worst thing people do is make changes over and over chasing a number. The body hates hormonal changes and goes to the opposite extreme usually to compensate.

Yes I do see your point. I tried to find some studies regarding the iodine deficiency scare but couldn’t. Just alternative health sites articles, etc.

I read that something like 90% of hypothyroid patients had Hashimotos and by switching to a gluten free diet many reversed their hypothyroid issues.

Some new labs taken 5/23 in between shots:

TT - 572.37 (175-781 ng/dL)
Estradiol - 65 (<20-40 pg/mL)
FSH - <.20 (1.27-19.26)
LH - < .2 (1.26 - 8.62)
Prolactin - 4.96 (2.64-13.13 ng/mL)
Hematocrit - 43.3 (40.1-51.0%)
Billirubin - 1.2 (.3-1.2 mg/dL)
Alkaline Phos - 54 (38-126)
AST - 36 (15-41)
ALT - 31 (17-63)
HDL - 55 (40-60)
LDL - 117 (<130)
Trigl - 134 (<150)
Iron - 155 (45-182)
Iron Bind Cap - 380.5 (261-478)
Ferritin - 85.7 (23.9-336)

Endo is happy. I questioned the high Estrodiol but havent heard back. I am @ 50mg E3.5D with no AI or HCG.

How do you feel?

Libido is pretty good. I do still get very tired in the afternoon/evening. Overall quality of life feeling is maybe 6/10 on most days but way better than before T or early on with low doses. Anxiety is gone, bitchiness is gone, ease of frustration is gone. Head in the clouds feeling has probably improved by 50% so I can concentrate a bit better and memory has come back some.

When my estrogen is high I get sleepy midday and in the evenings, memory is also affected. I’m sorry your endo is happy about these concerns, perhaps you should let him go.
