You look thick and solid. 20% is hard to believe. You do have a shirt on but regardless thats a tough pill to swallow (like arimidex). How do you derive the 20% number?

Thanks allday. Belly fat. My biometric impedance scale puts me at 18.5% but those are notorious incorrect.

The fact that you have veins starting to show in the biceps tells me that you are lower than 20% bro. I’d say even if you had a beer gut, which from the angle of the pic does lead one to believe that you do not (waist line looks in proportion from what I can see), I wouldn’t peg you a point over 16-17%.

Looking good man and great job!!

Have you ever tried using the US Navy method? For me it has been by far the most accurate and consistent. Not saying it’s the be all end all by any means, just the easiest and most accurate method I’ve found.

My personal fave. Just make sure to make the waist measurement at the belly button and it’s pretty damn good.

Thanks dude. I will give it a try and see what it says. Im not hung up on the number at all but just want it down to feel better, look better, and be in overall better health.

LOL…agreed. Actually I have a corp meeting tonight and I tried on the 3 suits I have. Two are too small regarding the jackets in the arms, shoulders, and chest but too big in the pants’ waists. The other one was just giant on me. Im guessing that one was from around 40 lbs ago. The wrong kind of pounds.

So in an attempt to pull myself out of the clouds, regain focus, and fix my short term memory issues I brought the topic up with my PCP. Over the past year Ive quit booze, tried Preg, DHEA, L-Tyrosine, etc to try and fix my issues but nothing has helped. Most days I feel like I am floating, like im a little high ALL THE TIME. Focus is shit and its a challenge to read anything more than a couple of sentences long without starting over. PCP suggested a mental health doc to get the ball rolling. Met with an intake specialist for an hour and did some testing on mood etc. To rule out actual depression I assume since thats what a lot of the questioning was based around. ā€œDo you ever feel helpless, worthless, hopeless?ā€ Yeah none of that, I just have a hard time with STM and focus. Fast forward 4 weeks and I met with a psychiatrist for an hour or so and talked about what’s up including ending drinking, taking testosterone, overall healthy lifestyle, gym, etc and he thinks that Wellbutrin might be a good fit for me right now. I wasn’t going into this looking for a script but the off label possibilities of the drug seem promising. Sides seem minimal aside from increased risk of seizure if you’re prone and the benefits of improved cognition, attention, and mood seem pretty good. He couldn’t really tell me what’s wrong with me so I might never know.

So, does anyone have any history with Wellbutrin? I think I read that @dextermorgan had used it, thoughts? @hardartery I know you have information on ADD meds, any info on Wellbutrin? Also curious if @unreal24278 has any info on bupropion.

I have never tried it, sorry. For me, it’s either a stimulant or heavy lifting. I got zero from mucuna pruriens, tyrosine, many others I can’t remember right off. I drink really strong quality coffee, when I am out of options and have to, I take Adderall. I lift stupid heavy when necessary. Which is relative. But, if it is really hard and grindy, I mean I’m getting time under tension but it’s only one or two reps, my brain is friendlier to deal with. Cardio doesn’t help it at all. I also function better with background noise. It drives the wife insane, but I can read and concentrate better if the music is going and or something else.

Wellbutrin is a stimulant but it not an amphetamine. They can use it to treat depression but people with anxiety have issues with the stim apparently. Works via dopamine. Thanks for weighing in. Some of that sounds a lot like me. I need music to concentrate/study etc. But coffee/caffeine has no affect on me.

@NH_Watts
Wellbutrin was awesome. Made a major impact on production, focus and getting things done. Kind of like a stimulant without feeling like you’re on a stimulant. The best thing about it is when I came off after being on for years there were zero side effects. Like none.

My wife looking to take. Read it may increase libido for woman. Am waiting for that…
She also needs for lack of motivation

I took it for lack of motivation and it helped but it took a good 8 weeks to start working. Make sure she sticks with it until then.

What’s your dose you took? Am hoping primary Dr prescribes.

So the question begs, why did you come off of it? Like, I am head in the cloud, zero focus, floating through days with little interest in anything. The doc said give it a year on the meds and reevaluate but if something if fucked up why would it get better after a year? Your reply gave me hope that I may not need it forever. If I do, so be it, but Ive already got the T forever at this point so its one more thing to think about.

Thanks

Did 150mg xr the first 2 weeks then went to 300mg xr for a few years and was a big help. Then went to 450mg (150 + 300) when I started feeling really bad but didn’t feel any difference.ended up being hormones. Got on TRT and after a while started feeling good. I only got off because I thought I had a small amount of gyno and wanted to try Tamoxifen. After reading I found out Wellbutrin renders Tamoxifen useless so I came off and tried Tamoxifen but was taking too much (40mg/day) and by 4 weeks in was feeling like crap so I stopped. Never got back on Wellbutrin but have been considering it just to see if it helps anything.

The gyno was just the fact my body weight was too high and I held fat in the chest region. When I dropped down to 164 lbs from 190ish I realized that.

In what way? You didnt notice a huge slump after you came off of the Wellbutrin?

No slump at all. Didn’t notice much of anything. I felt like after a few years the Wellbutrin didn’t have as much of an effect but it could be that I was just used to it. The first few years felt like a major difference and in a positive way.
