NH_Watts' TRT Log

TT is 1965 at 180 a week. Im going to get SHBG done next week and will report back with results. Physiologik seemed to think it was a waste of a test because it can fluctuate so greatly so I never got it tested.

I also heard him say that. I tried to follow up with his thoughts on it but I didn’t get an answer.

I don’t know if I agree with that regarding SHBG. If it fluctuates so much, why do ā€œlowā€ shbg guys feel better injecting everyday?

Why do I need more test, while someone with a lower SHBG gets e2 symptoms off the same dose.

When you consistently test in the 40+ for SHBG, when is it safe to say its high?

Yeah, I will get the test and see whats up and take it from there. I dont mind a little bit of experimentation as long as I can still bang my wife.

@roscoe88 - just a little update… I injected 36mg last night at 11pm. I started feeling real good the last couple of hours. I was looking at a website where there was an image of a beach/girls in bikinis, not an intentional thing by any means… That triggered something and I went down the internet rabbit hole looking at other pictures of girls in bikinis and had to snap my carrot the break out of the vortex and feel relief… So, something is working for me with libido/reaction mentally. Haha

Excellent. I just did something similar. Lol

Should be Interesting to see how eod goes.

Blood draw for SHBG test scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30p. Should have results next week. If needed I will adjust shot schedule at that point from E3.5D to EOD or even ED.

Nice. Interested in the results. Once I have my appointment in October, I’ll post mine too if that’s ok

Hell yeah. The more data the better.

High supra test levels are great for bodybuilding purposes, but are they great for sex drive, mental well being and calmness? The things that normal men would have? IDK. And if it IS, is It sustainable for years to come?

The body wasn’t built that way.

Then again, I’ve never been on a high dose of test.

ED or EOD shots just make more sense.

Well I may feel great at 1.9k because my SHBG is low. If that’s the case and I work that angle with more frequent shots I may not feel as good. Im just going on how I feel. I would be interested to know if those who have run high test cycles (500mg+ a week) actually feel better with test readings of 5,000+. @roscoe88

I wouldn’t call 1900ng/dl supraphysiologic, I’d call it pharmacologic. I’m sure if you surveyed 1 million natural men some, but very few would have a TT of 1900ng/DL, I like to consider ā€œsupraphysiologicā€ two to three times the top end of the original ref range, therefore 2-3000ng/dl.

Anecdotally I’ll say they’re far better for all those variables. A small study on elderly men showed a dose respondent increase in libido, as in the higher the dose was, the higher libido and sexual function was, these results couldn’t be replicated in younger men though. The top dose of the study was 600mg/wk

Depends if one can keep their hematocrit, blood pressure and whatnot under control, as to the effect on cardiac function, no one really knows, however 1900ng/DL isn’t TERRIBLE, with a very healthy lifestyle one can probably get away with having these test levels for a very long time, bodybuilders sometimes cruise on 500mg+ for decades and get away with it, but some don’t get away with it and die, typically sudden cardiac death (from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or general cardiac damage, stroke etc), however the incidence of sudden cardiac death, although apparently higher in the bodybuilding/ fitness/ athletic community still appears to be fairly low, while I don’t know anyone who has died from AAS use personally, one of my friends friends fathers friends friendds balblabla, apparently died in his 40’s and had been using AAS since high school, I had a therapist tell me they had a client who died in his 40’s and was using. Anabolic steroids high doses may also alter visuospacial cognitive function, however the design of the studies looking at this variable (cognitive function) were flawed, in one of the studies (not linking, maybe will later but I’m tired) the study group was only 20 people, and of the 10 AAS users, HALF of them were using psychoactive drugs, quite a few were using opiates, cocaine etc (no judgement here, their life, their choice as long as they don’t harm anyone other than potentially themselves… well Cocaine… don’t know if it’s possible to use that without doing harm.), structural abnormalities were found in the brains of AAS users compared to controls, however these couldn’t be explained by any mental or cognitive defects… Actually I think I’ll create a post/topic on this in the future, I’ll do it later.

The endocrinologist here cruises on a higher dose that probably gets him up into the upper 1000’s

@NH_Watts I’ve been running 250mg/wk, it feels much better than 100mg weekly, after I’m done with this I intend to cruise on a dose that keeps me around 900-1000

I’m not expert and still learning everyday. I’d say 1900 test level is somewhat supra given the ranges of normal. It’s well above.

What one feels well at need to be balanced by long term health risks I believe.

TRT is a work in progress for sure.

All that said, I’d LOVE to try a 500mg/week supra level cycle. I"ve never done something like that.

I am saving my extra test my dr prescribes me though for something like this in the future.

I agree, it isn’t worth the risks in my opinion (cruising at a level of 1900ng/dl) if one isn’t an athlete or competitive bodybuilder, if one needs to sustain a high level of muscle mass that is beyond what their genetics would allow them to hold, then sure, otherwise I don’t understand the notion behind it (unless the individual doesn’t feel good without these test levels), however going on a cycle, having levels of 1900 is normal/ fairly low actually. I was just saying it’s not the end of the world. Hell when I ā€œcycleā€ my levels don’t even reach 1900ng/dl lol, more like 1400-1500 max, that’s because i’m very conservative, however I’ve made tremendous progress, couldn’t be happier therefore I don’t see the point of using a higher dose if I don’t need to, just adding unwarrented risk

Unreal: is your arousal good at that level? Not just libido… but arousal?

arousal is the best it’s been in a very long time, so has libido, sexual function, energy etc. My anxiety is up, but that’s because I worry about stuff all the time, and taking a higher dose of AAS has me constantly worry about cardiac issues even though at my age and with my doses they’re very unlikely to happen, can’t help worrying all the time lol, I’m just like that, on a good note my worrying stops me from doing a lot of the stupid shit a lot of teenagers end up doing as I tend to think out the potential consequences of every action I make, including this post.

My issue is that missing arousal.

How old are you unreal? You mentioned ā€œteenagerā€. Curious.

I’m young, I’m sure my age is on this board a few times, I’m sorry I just don’t feel comfortable giving my exact age, I’m sure i’ve put it in a few posts though, I’ll say this, I’m in my late teens. Why is a kid in his teens on TRT? No there wasn’t any prior AAS use, it’s a long and kind of depressing story that involves a lot of bad luck, if you’re interested I’ll tell you tomorrow @roscoe88

This is why I got my most recent blood work and paid out of pocket. I need to watch my hematrocrit and make sure it doesn’t go up significantly. All of my other markers are good. I take my blood pressure about once a week and log that as well. I try to concentrate on sleep quality and lift heavy 3-4 days a week along with HIIT cardio 4-5 days a week from between 15-30 minutes depending on the day. 10 mins after lifting and 30 minutes on non-lifting days. Im not a pro BB, nor do I intend on that route. I can’t really call myself an athlete as I dont compete in anything or do anything overy active outside of the gym. I am an active husband and dad of 3 so they fill my days substantially.

I feel like I am in a good spot and have started to tackle my bodyfat as well as cutting back on the booze. Im going dry next month to remind myself how good I can feel. Sober October.
