It certainly will. Pitta was going to be one of the top targets for Flacco. The only certain target now seems to be Smith since Boldin is gone.
Yup, the Pitta injury is going to hurt big time.

Super Bowl hang over anyone?

I should not be happy about this.

The butt fumble is such an epic fail. Amazing
I don’t know how Rex Ryan still has a job after last season.
Well they fired the GM, BECAUSE he was (to quote big Bill), buying the ingredients to cook the dinner. Yes Rex had input, but Tanny was doing the drafting and signing in free agency.

I think Ryan is a good coach, just not a head coach. Somewhat similar to Wade Phillips and Norv Turner.
Ryan is a lame duck coach this year, in an odd way it makes sense to keep him, if they do horribly he is the scape goat. If they do better than everyone thinks, the GM looks great for keeping him.

Very true. It gives Idzik at least one safe year for the exact reasons you described.

Some huge injuries already and with this new CBA, its not like the players can blame management quite so much anymore.

Thats why this talk of an 18 game season will die off. With the new “player safety” mantra, it wouldnt make sense to extend the season. Although, I feel these currents injuries fall more on the players than anyone or anything else. It makes you wonder how they used their time in the off season.
Btw, yesterday was the last Sunday without football. Next week is the HOF game. Then preseason afterwards, followed by college ball kickoff on the 29th. Its great to be back to this time of year.

You could be right, but like Norv in San Diego AJ Smith is a fucking retard and dismantled that team from within. Not much Norv could do about that.
Ryan is a good defensive coach.

Very true. Wasn’t so much dismantling the team, but some horrible drafts.
It will be interesting to see how the new coaching staff affects Rivers. There are a lot of good offensive minded coaches on the team this year. This is his make or break year in my opinion. Another season of massive turnovers might mean Chargers looking for QBs in next years draft.

He also dismantled, left tackle, running back, rush end etc. That with his inability to draft talent is a bad combo.
San Diego may never be able to recover.

Amen. I hate the dead part of summer leading up to training camp.
Percy Harvin is going to end up being a huge bust for the Seahawks. I’ll be shocked if he even averages 10 games a year over the duration of that laughable contract the Seahawks signed him to.

Deon Branch all over again.
I just recieved a news report on my phone from Bleacher Report saying: NFL Eliminates Traditional AFC-NFC Pro Bowl Matchup for Game with Fantasy-Like Draft.
Looked at BleacherReport.com and Espn and cant find a story about it.
