I think Matt Ryan is had really turned a corner and his one of the better QB’s in the league.
Tony Gonzalez came back, they added Steven Jackson which is an upgrade from turner. They added Osi Umenyiora. And I don’t see the 49’ers making it back to the super bowl a 2nd year in a row.

Fair enough, I want to see how the D looks and I agree Jackson is an upgrade over Turner.

I think Jacksons numbers will go down a bit but only because he won’t have to carry the ball so much with the offense the falcons have.

The Falcons??? What, Matt Ryan finally wins a fucking playoff game, only to choke on his fucking cock again in the next game and revert right back to his usual MO and he’s suddenly turned a corner? I laugh. The guy isn’t a big-game player and never will be. Colin Kaepernick has already proven he can play on the biggest stages under the brightest lights. Playing QB in SF is a much bigger stage than it is in Atlanta. Playing the same position as the greatest football player to ever grace the field equals more pressure than anything Atlanta is capable of. And the fact is that Kaepernick was a better QB than Ryan was he gained the starting role.
I would be shocked if Steven Jackson averaged more than 10 carries a game this year. He’s a shell of his former self and doesn’t represent much of an upgrade at all over Turner. He’s not a feature back at all anymore and that little fucking midget from Oregon State that they have back there with him isn’t even good enough to earn a roster spot on the 49ers, let along split time with Frank Gore.
Osi Umenyiora is on the downside of his career as well. He was injured most of 2011 and even though he was healthy all last year he only managed six sacks. Aldon Smith gets that many in two fucking games.
I think the Falcons will struggle to even get into the playoffs this year. Their division was a fucking cakewalk last year but this year it looks to be much tougher. Tampa is much improved, Carolina could be scary if Cam Newton learns how to play like a leader instead of a petulant child, NO will surely bounce back with the return of Payton and the Falcons don’t have an easy schedule at all. They have to play the NFC West teams this year and none of those games are going to be easy for a soft finesse team like Atlanta. Seattle and SF are both capable of wiping them all over the fucking field, especially when Atlanta comes out to the Stick in late December, and St. Louis and Arizona are both way more physical than Atlanta. They could easily lose all four games against the NFC West this year along with half their divisional games.

Fuck no I don’t want to go to a game with you. First of all, I have a fucking job so I’ll be working that day since the game is on MNF. Secondly, I have no desire to ever travel to Washington, DC. I’ve been there before and it’s a fucking shithole. I can’t imagine what it would be like in the middle of November. Thirdly, the 49ers are going to destroy the Redskins that night, which is all the destroying that needs to happen that night. And don’t forget. We have an avatar wager on that game.[/quote]
Lol, starting strong again this year DB.

The fact that I love the 49ers and the Giants have completely gone in the tank this summer means I’m REALLY looking forward to the football season. I can’t wait to watch Kaepernick blow the whole fucking league apart and validate all the claims about him that everyone on here said I was fool for making.

Yeah, one play away with all the same weapons on offense and a MUCH better defense and Kaepernick got them within a play of winning the whole damn thing. All that despite taking over in midseason, facing a ton of controversy, practically no experience to speak of and people hold that up evidence or as justification for why he’s going to play WORSE this season? Gimme a break! The guy proved he can win big games and perform well under pressure last year. He proved he can throw from the pocket with the best QBs in the game, which I already argued several months ago and provided more than enough statistical evidence on top of what anyone can plainly see with their own eyes to further bolster my argument. He proved he’s arguably more athletically-gifted than any QB in the game, he proved he can command the most complex offensive system in the game and he did all of this in just 10 games and you think this means he’s going to regress?
Of course he’s a fucking super star. He plays QB for the San Francisco Fucking 49ers! That’s like playing SS for the Yankees or midfielder for Manchester United. There is practically no position in sports more prestigious than playing QB for the 49ers. He was in the Super Bowl last year, he has the highest-selling jersey in the NFL, he’s instantly recognizable by anyone who’s ever even heard of the NFL and he’s not on trial for murder. What else do you need to be considered a super star? A fucking Super Bowl ring? Yeah, tell that to pre-2006 Peyton Manning or John Elway before his last two seasons. The guy is a fucking stud and he’s going to build on last season in ways that few players ever have. There is literally no way whatsoever to validate the argument that he will regress this year, barring injury of course. None whatsoever.
He’s a pocket passer. He beat NE in NE, he beat Atlanta, he came within one play of beating Baltimore and he beat Chicago in his first start ever, on MNF no less, strictly from the pocket. He’s not a running QB; he’s a pocket passer who can also run with the best of them, perhaps even better than any other QB, including RG3. He has a bigger, more accurate arm than pretty much any QB in the league. He’s mobile in the pocket. He’s big and has prototypical size at 6’4" 235. He’s extremely smart. He plays well under pressure. He’s the unquestioned leader of the team. He plays behind the best OL in the NFL. He has the best coach in the NFL in terms of developing QBs, a guy who turned Alex Smith into a viable starter, who developed Andrew Luck and who turned a guy with practically zero experience into a Super Bowl QB in 10 starts. What else do you want in a QB? If you could build your dream QB what qualities would he realistically have that Kaepernick doesn’t have?

You think Palmer can take them to the promise land?
I don’t think so!!! They’ll have a better team but won’t beat the elite teams week in and out their easiest divisional team they play is the rams. They’ll win 7 games at the most.
I just dont see a move to LA. The NFL has squeezed about all the profit they could out of the U.S. They are now looking abroad. Places like London and Mexico City would be better spots to start expanding. I think they see the NBA’s rising success in other countries and are hoping they could duplicate that.
I could see a small market team moving, Jags looking at you.
Maybe the Rams go back.
I think we are about 10 years away from having a foreign team, NFL Europe was a failure.
Toronto would be able to support a team. Mexico city as well.
