NFL 2013

I think it’s insane for him to go #2. He has 2 monster games and then a bunch of good not great ones. I’d contemplate the usual guys like McCoy, Rice, Foster, etc. I got him at a steal last year- not so sure I’m prepared to go all out for him this year.

And yes but you could say the same about the other guys I posted too. Why isn’t Alfred Morris up there with this guy or any of a bunch of other RBs? It doesn’t make sense to me…[/quote]
Arian Foster dropped to seventh in my league. He is good when healthy, but he has a more than capable backup. Morris is a projected first round pick. Sometimes you take a risk, who knows if it will pay off.

All I know is I’ve got the #2 pick in 1 of my leagues and I am not aiming for Doug Martin

I don’t think you can go wrong with either Ray Rice or AP. Just my opinion.

Graham Harrell to the Jets. Boy that has to be reassuring for a Jets fan…

He should start for them.

its just qb filler for the last pre-season game…

Adrian Peterson would be gone by the first pick since he is clearly the best player in standard leagues. I would not take Foster as the second overall pick.

Honestly I think it is better to have a mid to later pick in the first round unless you have the first overall pick.

^^ I get that AD is the #1 overall pick, no brainer. But if I’m at #1, I’m either trading down pre-draft or just taking him with every intention of quickly moving him.

Of course he’s a freak among freaks, but between regression-to-the-mean and the track record of RBs after 2k-yd seasons, there’s a whole lot to buck.

No love for Marshawn lynch or MJD. What was it a year ago MJD lead the league in rushing Those were my picks.

I’m in a keeper league and my two best players were Lynch and Foster. I vacillated between the two for a long time, but I decided to keep Lynch. I think both could end up being problematic, injury-wise, but Foster is already banged up this preseason and he hasn’t even played yet, whereas at least Lynch will presumably be starting the year healthy. And I’m pretty sure I can get CJ Spiller in the first round of the draft, who I think could end up being the best fantasy back in the league this year, given that I play in a PPR league. If the first few rounds go well for me I’ll end up with Spiller, Kaepernick and a QB like Luck or Romo to go along with Lynch.

Sleeper pick of the year at TE, the thinnest position in the league: Vance McDonald from the 49ers.

The guy looks like a way more fluid player after the catch than Vernon Davis, has better hands, played WR at Rice despite being 6’4" 265, and has already shown an ability to find the soft spots in coverage that Davis has never had. He’ll probably be my last pick and I’m expecting him to turn into a big-time red zone target for Kaepernick.

How many RBs have had 2k yard seasons to begin with, not many. I don’t think you can compare Peterson to the last one Chris Johnson. Peterson is all about being a team player while Chris Johnson seemed more preoccupied with himself.

Lynch went 4th overall in my league. I think he is getting plenty of love. MJD lead the league in rushing in 2011. He’s still a late first round pick, but is older now and is on a terrible team with Blaine Gabbert as the QB.

I’d take Ray Rice, Lynch, Spiller, and McCoy over Charles. Hell I even like Morris and Richardson over him too.

AP went 2nd in my league behind Rice. Ya, I drafted 6th and ended up with Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning as my first 2 picks. Not bad.

All were gone. Everyone in this league goes heavy on RB’s. I tried a different strategy this year.

I just can’t trust Spiller yet. Dude is not built to handle the workload they are planning on giving him. He’s already starting to get little issues popping up (see Redskins game). Have to see how the cards lay come draft day. I have to say tho, I’m feeling Shady McCoy again this year…

2 of the leagues that I play in my girl is the one who does the draft and I manage the team. It’s how we’ve done it 2 years in a row now and ti’s worked wonderfully. It’s bought me a very nice couch and another $500 or something like that on top. So I’ll let her deal with that and see how it happens. It also goes without saying that I am a waiver wire machine so my starting roster changes week to week. It’s funny though, my last week always seems to have the same lineup as the 1st week.

My other leagues: I’ve got #13 out of 14 which goes tomorrow night and then a 2 starting QB league that drafts on Monday. I had some awesome WR and RB in the 2 team league but Vernon Davis fucked me last year and I didn’t draft with 2 QBs in mind. It was sort of last minute so this year I will be adjusting my strategy. 1st round is QB heavy

It’s a short list and some all-time greats on it, and that’s kind of my point.

Chris Johnson, Jamal Lewis did it recently and even the great Eric Dickerson fell off in the season after setting the all-time record.

I picked up Zach Sudfeld a TE from NE he’s looked pretty good this pre season and with Hernandez gone and Gronk looking like he’s going to miss a good chunk of the season Brady will be looking for him in the redzone.

Im generally in deep leagues,14 teams in all 4 of them. Some deep sleepers I like and drafted late…Joique Bell (especially PPR format), Tyler Eifert, Ruben Randle, Donnie Avery (again PPR). I have a real funny feeling about Issac Redman, I know he is hurt and hasnt played much in the preseason, but he was supposed to be the man last year and almost by default may be the starter this year.

You must have a weird format league because I can’t see why you would need two QBs in a normal one unless you have someone like RG3.

This is probably the deepest I have seen for QBs in fantasy since I first started playing in the early 2000s. In my league I ended up loading up on RBs and WRs and then drafted Tony Romo in the 8th round.
