Smith may not suit up tomorrow, and according to my idiot HC has looked brutal. As of right now I am thinking Sanchez suits up as a started in game 1
So how long? 7 games then they just hand to Geno?

the first 4 games are somewhat winnable on the schedule but we will see. I hope they just give it to smith and let sanchez start fresh somewhere elese.

That’s definitely the harshest route but maybe the right one. If Rex feels he’s one more season and done what’s to stop him. I would start Sanchez myself if they are close during camp.

Let me rephrase then, 3 of the first 4 weeks are winnable, TB, Tenn and the Bills are all winnable. After these 4 games it gets ridiculously difficult.

Yes, yes, and yes.
It’s Steelers at Washington this upcoming MNF. What rookie are you most excited to see play?
none of the above. Bell probably won’t play since he got that knee injured in practice.

I didn’t read that about Bell till just now. Fuck me, so much for running him until the wheels fall off this year. I’m all about the RB and OLB so this is really depressing news.

well the good news is that he practiced in full recently so maybe he does have a shot at playing.

Brady looks soooo ready for an awesome season. He’s at the top of his game. The receiving corp just has to do its job.
Yeah I agree completely and I’m definitely interested to see how the new receiver’s will do. Also Amendola looks really good, I hope he can stay healthy

Gut feeling at this point in Preseason
Denver and Atlanta in SB

Denver is WAY overrated. Not much of a running game to speak of, Von Miller is quickly turning into a headcase and will be missing some very important games, and the OL is beyond suspect at this point. I’d be shocked if Manning made all 16 starts this year. Their only saving grace is the fact that they play in a horseshit division. They’ll probably make the playoffs but they’ll lose in their first game, as Manning usually does.
Atlanta is a fucking fraud. Not a very physical team at all, questions all over the place on the defensive side of the ball, and Stephen Jackson isn’t going to be much an upgrade, if any, over Turner this season. He’s been wearing down the last couple years and this is going to be the year that he really hits the wall. That little back that they have from Oregon State isn’t any good at all and won’t get more than maybe 30 or 40 yards on the offensive side of the ball per game. Aside from that, Matt Ryan is simply not a big game player at all, and I don’t expect that trend to reverse itself this year.
My prediction: Niners (of course) vs Colts (why not?)

Denver is a safe bet but I think Atlanta’s D will hit the shitter
I’m gonna say Broncos - Packers

I don’t think the packers make the playoffs let alone the SB
Id be very suprised if GB didnt make the playoffs. They will be battling Chicago for 1st in NFC North. But although they are my team, Im hesitant to put them in the SB. The first 3 games will say alot(SF, Wash, Cincy).
Ill say Broncos- Seahawks but picking the SB in the beginning of the year is almost pointless.

Injuries really hit Denver. Losing their Center , which is one of the tougher positions to fill, is tough. I can see Houston knocking them off the SB run. Colts D held them back last year and Im not sure much will change there.
