It really comes down to there being soooooo much of a fascination with football that the media outlets unfortunately have to blow up some of these stupid issues. I think guys that have played the game that are now sportscasters have to think it is absolutely asinine but unfortunately they are paid to get viewers. And nothing draws in more viewers (and possibly new ones) like a dirty soap opera style drama. Especially one with a big bad guy and his racist ways
