Well don’t I feel dumb now…
So who thinks Elway is fucking out of this world happy? He can get rid of Jesus and not feel the back lash from Fans. Talk about horseshoe up your ass lucky.
Tebow will be too expensive for him to get traded anywhere… at least that’s my opinion lol

So does Miami go after Tebow?[/quote]
Jacksonville, Tebow is the only thing that can fill that stadium. Half drunk Florida fans will make that team rich.

Bring on Peyton!!
What would be funny if Alex Smith signs with the Dolphins after that little fiasco. I know it’s very unlikely, but still.
Has Peyton noticed that the Broncos DO NOT play in a dome?

Well, this proves it. Manning’s all about the money and doesn’t give a shit about rings. Denver was lucky to make the playoffs last year. They basically had the league’s worst division fucking handed to them. Tennessee and the Niners both would have been FAR better fits for Manning if he wanted another title. Both teams are more talented at RB and the O-line, and the Niners definitely have better talent than Denver at TE and WR, not to mention a WAY better defense than Denver’s and a WAY better defense than anything he had in Indy. It’s not like those two couldn’t have offered a lot of cash too. I’m not sure what Tennessee’s cap situation is like, but I’m pretty sure the Niners were $20 million under it before they signed Manningham. Fuck Manning. Greedy sonofabitch.

Do you know we average 300+ days of sunshine per year and the average game time temp is around 50?

Well, it’s actually 300 days of PARTIAL sun… it’s about 250 days of pure-sun. I can still deal with it. ![]()
Yeah, Denver was crazy today. The vibe in the office was out of this world. All the Broncos fans were STOKED on Manning. No love lost for Tebow, apparently.
I’d say it’s most like that it’ll be Jacksonville who wins Tebow, but Miami is likely.
I did hear about a scenario, that won’t happen, but is hilarious nonetheless… think about if the Chiefs acquired Tebow. It would be the NASTIEST ground and pound attack of all time… see here:
- Tim Tebow
- Jamaal Charles
- Peyton Hillis
- Dexter McCluster
Yeah, nastybots. Won’t happen, though.

Don’t forget Peyton had stated he wanted to go to the AFC. I think your statement is more speculation that he signed with Denver for the money. There could have been a lot of factors. I honestly think the Broncos have a good defense. It’s not like top tier or anything.
Who knows, maybe Elway gave him the best handjob of his life.

Look, no matter what the other teams offered, none of them could give Manning the chance to win rings that the Niners could. That’s not even debatable. So if he went for another reason other than money, it still shows that there are more important things to him at this stage of his career than winning Super Bowls, because he just blew the best chance he’ll have to win on next year, and probably the year after that as well since their entire starting defense is signed through 2013, except for Dashon Goldson who got franchised this year.
And I’ll tell what the other factor acting on him was, if it wasn’t money. Us Niners fans are jaded, plain and simple. We’ve seen arguably the two greatest players in the history of the NFL (Montana and Rice) and had the most dominant 15-year run in the history of the NFL starting in 1981. If the Niners had landed Manning, it would have been Super Bowl-or-the-season-was-a-dismal-failure in the minds of all the fans. It’s always been that way when the Niners were good, especially when they’ve had great QBs. As far as I’m concerned every season in SF other than '81, '84, '88, '89 and '94 were utter disasters, including this one. And Manning CANNOT handle that sort of pressure. I guarantee (although we’ll never know) that his decision was based on that factor and the money factor.

A little bit. But it’s always bothered me when I see an athlete comparable to Manning’s stature (basically, someone who’s already earned a Shitload of Cash) sign with a team that is far inferior. Sometimes, it rightly is about the money, especially in a sport where your career could end at any time. But when you see a guy who’s earned a ton of cash sign with some bullshit team (not calling Denver one, but you can’t possibly argue that they represent the chance of getting a ring that the Niners represent) it’s disappointing. Personally, I would have been happy to see Manning with the Niners, but I only expected 2 more good years from him. Two more good years by anyone’s standards, not his.
I’m not naive enough to think that athletes play their sport purely to win. Money’s always a factor, and with Manning I think the pressure to win was another factor. But when money isn’t an issue for a player and he makes a move like this that clearly isn’t purely about winning, it reinforces the notion that players care more about money than winning. In this case, I think Manning is afraid of the pressure to win along with a desire for money. In all honesty, I think if you look at his postseason stats and how they are significantly worse than his regular season stats, it’s an indicator of a clear aversion to the pressure to win.
So yeah, I’m a little bitter, but almost none of it has to do with him not going to the Niners. It’s almost entirely based on the general idea of what I feel this represents about sports. I’m only vocalizing it because it happens to have been a player who might have given my favorite team a chance to win it all next year. But the fact is that I still feel that the Niners with Alex Smith at QB will be a more formidable opponent and will go farther than the Broncos with Manning at QB. I just think that Manning could take the Niners further than Smith can. But if Smith improves on this year, I think he’ll be a very good QB next year and it would not surprise me one bit if Manning puts up bigger numbers overall but Smith ends up having the far better season overall.
In fact, if we remember it for that long, I will personally wager one avatar of your choice, of any kind whatsoever and with no restrictions, for ONE FULL NFL OFFSEASON if Manning wins more games than Smith does with the Niners. In fact, shit, I’ll take on any known Bronco fan in here, or any known Manning fan in here. This is all contingent upon the Niners signing Smith in the first place and he starts the year healthy. If he somehow gets injured in the preseason, the bet is off, but if he gets injured even on the first play of the regular season, the bet is still on.

Yeah I’m bored, and recovering from back surgery so I have LOTS of free time…
Lets take a look at this, last year you guys ranked 29th overall in the pass Denver 31st
Rushing Denver 1st 49ers 8th
Total Yards (offense) Denver 23rd 49ers 26th
Manningham ranked #62 (all receivers 2011)
Denver’s highest ranked Eric Decker @ 54 (overall)
Tight end - 49ers have it ouright Vernon Davis is a stud no doubt.
Running Back
Denver Willis McGahee ranked 11th
49ers Frank Gore 14th
Defensively the 49ers have it as well but that magic last season wasn’t all Tebow.
If the Defense didn’t play as good as they did, Tebow can’t do anything and Prater can’t nail a 50 yrd field goal to win.
So bitch all you want because your about to lose Alex Smith, so who will throw the ball then?

All those stats mean nothing. They played different schedules, and besides your best RB on the roster is getting old quick and you’re losing the best rushing threat in Tebow. Both teams addressed their biggest weakness, which might have been the only one the Niners had.
The only stat that means anything is this: 13-3 is FAR > than 8-8, in the worst division in football. So is losing in overtime in the NFC Championship Game compared to getting smashed in the divisional round. Reel off all the stats you want, but the only TRUE indicator of a team’s strength is the statistic called “record”.

And who the hell is going to sign Smith? Tebow’s about to be on the market and Jacksonville is the only team looking for a QB other than the Niners. Hasselback will stay with Tennessee and I doubt Miami is going to sign Smith AND Garard.

Oh DB your funny LMFAO!
You brought up stats but when they weren’t totally in your favor your default to the record.
OK, your right you had a 13-3 and went to the NFC Championship (not disputing this at all).
But keep in mind you do play in the SECOND worst division.
I saw that Miami signed Garrard but the news said they also were still looking at Alex Smith, hey maybe you guys can work a trade for Tebow?
