I don’t like the Cowboys or the Redskins and always thought Romo was overexposed, but I gotta give Romo a ton of respect after the last couple of games. Very few QBs could overcome the number of foolish mistakes made on the field that happened last night and still pull out a win, especially with broken ribs.

Overexposed is because he is the QB for Cowboys, big market teams mean overexposure and very high set expectations.
I am a Cowboys fan first and foremost, I dont care if they have an albino midget that is club foot and crossed eyed, if that little pale mother fucker can win then put his ass in.
That being said I have been on the fence about Romo for years, always just accepted the fact we need somebody and we have had worse. However after last two weeks, I got to say he is my boy now. I will back him until he stops wearing the star.

Deej is there a QB out there you’d like to see calling signals for the 'boys?
College NFL or otherwise?
I have a couple ideas but I’d like to see yours first.

Great question Brad.
I think it ultimately comes down to the system you run. If we continue with the current Offensive scheme then I could answer. If we changed whole system then you have other things to take into consideration. So lets assume you mean J Garret is the coach for the next 10 years.
We are a pass first team now, running is opened up by the pass game, so have to have someone that can make all the throws with a quick release. Also someone that can slide well in the pocket due to our more athletic OL.
College: Well Luck of course, maybe Landry from OU nobody else has really popped out
NFL: Mallet maybe, but honestly Stephen Magee has made great strides
What you thinking?

Honestly, I think that would be insanely smart on their part. Luck learning under Manning? That would be mind blowing.
How do you spell dispair:
P A I N T E R
Guys… Guys! GUYS!!!
You can’t spell Luck without H-A-R-B-A-U-G-H
That kid will be a late first rounder by week 9 of this season. I hope he proves me wrong though.

On the college level, I think Ryan Tannenhill out of Texas A&M could be a great fit for the Cowboys. He’s big, athletic, good arm but can make things happen out of the pocket, and to top it off he’s already playing in TX.

We already have a development A&M QB. Plus he didnt start to get “it” until after he spent a season as a WR. He is a few years away for sure. Now if you are ready to move Magee to #2 and draft Tannenhill to sit at #3 I can see that.
Has anyone watched much of the Falcons? I havent watched a game yet but what is the issue right now? Their season has not turned out how I thought it would so far.

They have yet to establish Turner on the ground, kid with new toy wanting to go to J Jones.
Plus there Defense has not produced like they should, Edwards is not a #1 pass rusher.

I was looking at their stats and that sounds about right. Last year, their defense is what cost them their season, especially the playoff game against the Packers.

I like Josh Freeman for you all, in the NFL. Kid can sling it, and sling it quick. Mckoy of course would be a great big fuckin coup, and I know the hookems are drooling after his performance against the fish last week.
In College?

They will figure it out on Offense, they are a few players away on the Defense.

I like Freeman but was unclear if could “steal” starting QB’s. Have to see how kids are playing by the end of the year.
Kellen Moore needs to be in a west coast offense, arm is just not strong enough in our system.

I think Moore would fit well into Dallas’s offense. Good at thinking on the run, which I think is Romo’s achilles heel. But unlike Romo, he doesnt have that powerful arm. Romo is just like Farve in that factor.
In regards to Costa, he stated that the Redskins D were calling phantom snaps, which is technically illegal… the Cowboys reported them to the NFL. Anyways, regardless, Costa has to listen to Romo (and LOOK at him through his legs) and only Romo.

They have yet to establish Turner on the ground, kid with new toy wanting to go to J Jones.
Plus there Defense has not produced like they should, Edwards is not a #1 pass rusher.
The problem with Turner is that, the Falcons are always down in the count early in the game, so instead of handing the ball off more often they are forced to pass more to get ahead. Once the Falcons start getting a lead early, you’ll see Turner turn it on.

See I think that is even more reason to run Turner early, Fred Jackson was leading the league before McFadden went off.
Young QB’s need that established running game, and if you have a weak D then you have to slow the game down by running the ball.

Since the Cowboys won this game I can bitch about the refs, if they had lost I could not say shit.
That was the worst officiated game I have seen in over a year. Just fucking horrible.

The problem is we are running Turner early. The problem is that our opponents have figured that out and put a stop to it. We’re doing it, it’s just not working. We’re not getting any yards from it. We either need to start establishing the outside lanes or really start switching things up in the start.
