OH IT IS ON GOOD SIR! Oh man this is gonna be good. Sanchez 23-30 340 3tds 1 running

Just give me an hour stuck in an elevator. That’s all I ask.

sigh

thing is after watching pouncey all year with the gators he’s inconsistent with the snaps… 3rd and 30 is more daunting in the NFL than college… it seems as though he needs much more work as a center than his natural position (guard)

some mock drafts have pouncey going to the dolphins but i’ve always felt if its not a tackle or a center usually it doesn’t warrant a top 15 pick… pouncey is athletic and moves well for a big guy but he is an average - below average center but a great guard… thoughts?
An interior OL doesn’t warrant a top 15 pick unless he is a can’t miss, surefire 10 year starter.

I don’t know if Mike Pouncey is that. Maurkice was, is, and will be.

EDIT: Btw, this post is intended to convince your team’s owner that he should pass on Mike so the Steelers can take him at 31.

Who’s Romano?

Do you mean John Romano, the editor of Muscular Development?

Or me? In which case, I don’t think I own the team–simply a pipe dream =)

Yes, a Guard warrants a top-15 pick, if you think you’ve found that player. I’m pretty sure Miami doesn’t run a zone-run scheme either, so it makes the guard (having to pull) that much more important on a normal basis.

And no, this Pouncey should NOT play Center - ever. He was put at C this year because of absolute necessity, not because he played better there. In fact, his 10-15 botched snaps throughout the season fucked us hard. His natural position is guard, and that’s what he’s been doing his whole life. I’m sure he could be a substitute C if worse came to worse, but this is the NFL and you can’t have a snapper who you’re taking a risk with on each play.

@Vinnie85- I think Pouncey has the technique down, when it comes to strength he may be overmatched when he comes up against bigger bull rush NT. Regardless he is the best in the draft at his position and I think he ahs the ability to learn any position on the line and should be picked up by the Dolphins at #15.

The Baltimore Ravens, I can see this team making it deep into the playoffs next year. Tough defense to handle and Flacco is coming into the QB role good. Solid team of top players.

It’s not that likely this is going to happen. He may not be the huge-est dude, but you have to remember he’s a guard, and that’s his natural position - an OL that can get away as more of a ā€˜skill’ position on the line than others. Plus, he’s played against the best of the best through his career in the SEC.

We will see - This is what I thought last year. Something just doesn’t look right to me about them, though. I see the offensive they have around them and I only see 32 touchdowns scored last year. I think Flacco is a reliable, above-average quarterback, but I’m severely doubting his moxy and ability to ā€˜just get it done’ after the last two seasons. And yeah, I know, Steelers and what have you - so we will see. I actually like the Ravens when all is said and done (and they’re not playing the Pack.)

Fair enough. We do all look alike. It’s these damn good looks and stupid mesomorphic tendencies. Not surprising you get a few of us mixed up.

Forgiven!

So you’ll understand if I mistakenly call you by my ex-wife’s name than?..

I would think the atmosphere that night, being the 10th anny will have so much electricity running thru it, that WILL be the place to be. Don’t I remember you having access to tix John? How about you Matty, can you get in that night?

Yeah, it will be a good night.

I have season tix - didn’t have them last year because the PSL financing was weird. Much better set up this year (longer-term financing, for one).

I will try to be at every home game this year (assuming travel doesn’t preclude that) and as far as away games I will likely head up and see the game at Gillette with Cressey.

Jets/Giants should be fun, especially on Xmas eve.

Only if I can chaperone for safety reasons of course

Just glanced at the new sked. If Pittsburgh doesn’t have a let down I see playoffs again. Five prime time games suckas lol. Open up with Ravens so thats big right off the top. On paper it looks soft at the end so even if they drop a couple here and there they can get on a roll at the end to the post season…or not.

STEELERS SMASH NINERS ON MNF!!!

Boys at Jets on 9/11, that will be something.

Hines Ward I think will play a couple more years and then hopefully coach right away. I DO NOT want to see him behind a mic. I love the guy but not that much.
Be prepared for Steeler Super Bowl hangover. It’s happened every time they’ve been there since Roethlisberger was drafted.

I think Vinnie stated that in his post? Are you drunk?

Vinnie I agree with the other guys if you new for a fact you had a 10 year guard you would take him top 15.
Will this Pouncey get pushed up in the draft BECAUSE of his brother? Cause like Vinnie I did not like what I saw on the field for a lot of gamges this year.
Vinnie dont listen to SSC cause he is a gators fan and in his mind they all shoudl go in the first round. :stuck_out_tongue:

i think he will be drafted higher due to his name. granted i think hell be a really good guard in the NFL and can become a pro bowl caliber player but top 15 seems high. i want him on the bears. i would love to see him play with his brother again though, that would be awesome, like the guys in the replacements!!!

It’s way to hard to tell what’s going to happen given that we don’t know what f/a are going to be coming back. With that said I think the Ravens have a really good shot this year. With alittle more push in the pass rush, hopefully a decent OL or CB in the draft and I think we’ll be ready to make a good push, with an easy schedule to boot. I hope to see my man Le’ron Mcclain back in baltimore and carrying the rock, man is a beast.

I’m glad to see they got rid of Mattison as the defensive cordinator I was sick of his prevent defense, although he now unfortunatly has migrated to my beloved wolverines whom are destined to suck again.
