How? I was wondering about this, he retired with the league so I thought all rights were absolved after a period of time?

Dont know exactly what rule their is. But the Giants released a statement (at least locally) that they still retain his rights. I wonder if Greg Comella will come out of retirement now.

^ Hahahahaha I thought you would have went with Mark Bravro or Simms.

Alright, Chargers signed Bob Sanders so he can sit on the IR.

Hahahahahaha good one strungout.

Says the man got some intern chick pregnant. Left his wife of 23yrs & is flat broke. Can’t pay his alimony or child support. What a douche!

On top of talking out of his ass when he thought he would be the next fucking Irv Cross…Tiki’s broke like antoine walker.

^Fucking Irv Cross is FUNNY as shit!

Okay Matty just as I got in the car to leave from work Kirwin and Ryans were talking about Tiki. I didnt want to be on hold for an hour to talk to those guys. (I have done that before on long trips) The Giants do own the rights, I just would like to know how that works. I guess Tiki was still under contract when he retired?

I hope for your sake he came cheap, that’s big gamble. Dude cannot stay heathy to save his life.

when i was watching sportscenter today they did a thing on tiki, surprisingly they didnt cover the whole NYG owning his rights and if they did i missed it. but they were talking about possible destinations, they listed a bunch and the consensus was tampa bay to play with his brother who just signed a 1 yr deal and they are gonna lose cadillac williams so he could mentor legarrette blount. blount could use a class act like tiki to teach him the ropes.

Giants owner said they would not keep his rights, he has been released.

Nicely done lol. His teamates will be relentless the next OTA.

Good fuck Tiki…he burnt too many bridges with the Jints. I truly loved him when he played but man towards the end he was just a straight up dickhead.

He is not his brother for sure. But I hated him because I am a Cowboys fan.

^ So you and WC are praying for Cam? I know Print is worried that SF is going to steal him away from the Jets. Just fucking with WC and Print. You still think they should go for Von Miller?
FUCK Cam Newton! Vince Young round two.

I’m not sure who I want them to get. They could use a lock down corner but those are so hit and miss in the draft. I think they go D all the way… but I’m just not sure where
I want Miller or Peterson in the first and a DE in the second.

As for QB, go after Palmer or McNabb, and wait for Luck next year. BOOM.

"Barber’s personal and professional life have been in shambles recently. In April 2010, Barber reportedly left his wife of 11 years, Ginny, for 23-year-old Traci Johnson, a former NBC intern. Ginny was eight months pregnant at the time.

Soon after, NBC cited its morals clause and terminated Barber’s contract, which reportedly paid him more than $300,000 per year. In June 2010, the New York Post reported Barber was broke and couldn’t pay his divorce settlement with his ex-wife."

I definitely wasn’t aware of all this (I’d heard some rumors). Lost a lot of respect for Tiki after reading that.

I don’t think so. Maybe if TC wasn’t still the coach but those two are oil and water.

We all hate Tiki which is hard to imagine considering how good of a player he was. No surprise though that they won it all 1st year without him. He’s a cancer in the locker room, just a complete douche. Giants should hold his rights and keep him inactive every weekend.
