Thanks. I have read that lowering SHBG isn’t the best solution, or am I getting the wrong end of the stick so to speak?
Would you recommend boron alongside the gel?
I doubt the endo will switch me to injections so soon without seeing if gel has an positive effect. I’ll bring it up in our first review

The gels work quickly and stable states are reached much faster than with the injectable testosterone (excluding nebido).

I experienced the quick response day 1, it was crazy. My libido went through the roof, which I didn’t expect but welcomed it. Forgot what it felt like
I believe so. Not sure why high SHBG would be desirable. It has a greater affinity to testosterone than estrogen. I would think you would want as much free available test as possible
SHBG likely impacts clearance rate of Testosterone. I don’t think there is anything wrong with lowering SHBG with Testosterone injections. I would avoid any unnatural methods (that are not other AAS) of lowering SHBG. Mid range is ideal. Low SHBG guys are often harder to get dialed in, and many move to every day injections. I would think a natural thing like boron would be okay to use if SHBG was really high.
Calories at / around maintenance at the moment. I have dieted in the past but also been in a surplus with no changes in symptoms. I eat a balanced diet.
2 things in your labs stands out to me and has a direct link to SHBG, your very low CRP and your extremely high insulin sensitivity these 2 things bring SHBG up or down, classic example: Fat guy = low insulin sensitivity = high CRP = low SHBG
That’s something that I have thought about and been trying to research today. My low insulin. Do you think I could be diabetic or similar? Low insulin maybe has a relationship with SHBG, making it elevated. I often get dizzy and more so after workouts, maybe related to a drop in blood sugar levels? I’m not sure, I research daily it drives me crazy
You are really really far away from being diabetic don’t worry, remember one thing BALANCE is what our body loves, low insulin sensitivity no good, extremely high insulin sensitivity no good both are extremes scenarios but between both you are on the healthy side, I would introduce some more healthy carbs in your diet
Thanks, I appreciate your time! I consume a decent amount of healthy carbs daily. But my sugar intake is very low, do you think this could be a problem? Like I very rarely / never have a sugary snack or drink. The only sugar I intake is from natural sources like veg and fruit
Remember BALANCE, too much sugar = no good, a little sugar here and there in your case is not a problem at all, your inflammation is super low, insulin sensitivity too high, let your body releases a powerful hormone called insulin…when eating sugar try not eating fat together ok and keep your caloric intake the same
SHBG left the room lol
Hi. Regarding boron supplementation, is there a dosage you would recommend? And does it need to be cycled? There is a lot of differing opinions on the web. Thanks
Check out this article. Seems like boron affects almost every process in the body. I think I take 1000 mg and I take it with my vitamins everyday. No need to cycle.
