I would lower your dose to 140-160mg weekly. Inject twice, 80mg Monday AM 80mg Thursday PM. Drop the AI entirely (I know, gyno), having your e2 so low with TT so high is likely part of why you don’t feel good, and your doc is just throwing more test at it thinking that’s the answer.
Most likely the higher TT is going to allow you to have a higher e2 without running into further gyno issues. But if it’s already there, it’s there, sadly. A SERM might help shrink it a little, but it’s not gonna make it go away.
I’d try the new program and get labs in 4-6 weeks, see what e2 is, see how you feel, and see if you need to add a TINY amount of AI back in
Thank you for the response. It’s not full blown gyno. More puffy nipple the kind that look fine when I’m cold or just get out of the pool but when it’s hot out they are puffy. I don’t feel a hard disc or limp underneath them. Hoping the Tamoxifen will help. You think it’s worth a shot? I’ve dropped anastrozole now for over a week.
Thats a LOT of Anastrozole. Its a powerful drug and doesnt take much to work. Took me 3 years to get my Test/E2 dialed in. At one point while not on Anastrozole, my E2 was 110. I felt like shit and knew something was off. Im now on test 200mg a week, and one Anastrazole a week. I know everyone is different, but that keeps my E2 in the 30’s and I feel great!
Another update: I took my last AI 3 1/2 weeks ago and started on Tamoxifen 2 weeks ago. 20mg a day. Still haven’t switched to 2x a week injections but I did drop my dose from 250 back to 200mg on my own. The results so far have been extremely encouraging. I’m sleeping great now. I’d been struggling and waking up literally 10-15 times a night. Also I was having weird numbness and tingling in my hands at night and that’s mostly gone. Now I only wake up maybe twice a night and I go right back to sleep. I have morning erections every single day now which hasn’t happened much at all since starting TRT almost 6 months ago. I feel strong in the gym. I think there’s definitely more to do to get optimized but I really feel I’m on the right track now and am excited to run this protocol for a few months.
