Also seeing your original PSA score you’ve gone up 2.2 points (in 5 months?), For comparison mine has risen 0.01 in a year. Not sure at what point you need to be concerned.
Has your GP had site of this test? Or just private provider? And if just private provider have you spoken to their Dr or just a facilitator?
Try injecting daily or EOD to minimize side effects. You can do the same with the TRT, the smaller shots can greatly minimize side effects.
Unless you already experienced gyno as a younger man, let’s just say I have never heard of a single case where a guy developed gyno who didn’t already experience earlier in life. Your hormones will be fluctuating whenever you change your TRT doses and hormones will become stable at 6 weeks. When hormones are in flux it’s perfectly normal to experience nipple tenderness and even burning sensation and is transient.
When my estrogen is too high, my testicles shrink and I’m not even on HCG.
I do need to keep an eye on PSA, my father had prostate cancer, although apparently the link between PSA and prostate cancer is nowhere near as strong as they used to think!
Good to see you dropped by this thread it seemed significant to me but don’t have the knowledge to give anymore comment than it seems significant, glad you can give something a bit more specific!
I’ve just had my results back from Monday’s test. Seem OK.
Annoyingly there was a mistake and they didn’t mention PSA or Cholesterol which I really wanted to see- will get PSA measured in 4 weeks.
The test results look much better to me though- hopefully someone can comment?
Lastly, I am thinking of dropping the HCG. My skin is terrible, acne on my shoulders, white-heads on my chest. I don’t want more kids so it seems like the right move- either that or reduce the HCG down to a lower dose?
They are going to run a PSA check on my blood from Monday, hopefully will have the results today. Will post them when they come through, hopefully they look better.
For me the numbers are quite high, maybe too high. But you will definitely get a different response on depending whom you ask.
More importantly, how do you feel? Any dose limiting side effects such as sleep apnea, water retention (could be temporary), high blood pressure, high HCT, sleep problems etc.?
Edit: just saw that you posted bloodwork 2 months in incl. HCT and lipids. Looks good, if you feel good than stick to the protocol. Many different views on the need for hCG. It definitely keeps testicular size up but any other effect on libido etc is highly individual. I would drop it and see how you fell without it if having any more kids is off the table.
I feel OK. My libido isn’t great but everything else seems fine. I don’t think the HCG did much to stop the ball shrinkage so am just going to deal with it. Will see how the next 4 weeks go. I can always go back to the HCG. The acne really annoyed me though, both on my back and chest. Not good at all. That seems to be clearing up quickly. Hopefully the libido increases in time too.
I’ve had my most recent blood back, wondered if brighter minds than mine could cast their eyes over them? I eat a Keto diet, which probably explains the cholesterol. Currently weigh 88kg.
Should I worry about my LH / FSH being low? Or my haematocrit level being high?

LH &FSH will be very low or undetectable if you’re taking exogenous testosterone, that’s to be expected. HCT is just right at the top of the range, I think that’s fine too. Giving blood is always a nice thing to do though, but I don’t see a need to. [Not a doc]
Based on your numbers, no I wouldn’t see a need to change anything [not a doc]. Your test levels and hct are right about what I run and my doc is fine with it. He might prefer the hct to be a bit lower, I’m bouncing around the upper number on my labs.
What dose and inj frequency are you doing and how long have you been doing it? I guess the main question is how do you feel?
