New to TRT and looking for help!

The problem is now the only thing in progress is the E2 ultra not another set of numbers. I will have to just address the E2 number which was done two weeks of therapy after the TT of 791. I’m not sure I know what I’m doing and everywhere I look 1mg of AI every other day seems excessive.

Yes I told you this a few times. Either take nothing and wait for bloods or take .5mg 2x per week as previously stated.

I’m a big fan of this option. I don’t like changing protocols without proper info = dog chasing tail. Get the new lab draw first before starting AI.

I was started on 100mg testosterone cypionate once per week and read taking 50mg twice per week might help cut down rising E2 which is where I am now. I am confused do you really mean .5mg of test or are you saying Anastrazole? Could I also try cutting the test to 80mg per week?

Correct, you will have lower peaks, higher valleys, and more stable levels. I did once a week for years and switched to twice a week. Didn’t notice much of a difference, but many guys do especially those that have higher E2. There is NO downside to this other than the extra poke.

.5mg 2x per week of Anastrozal.
At this point you may as well just get bloods done before changing anything. Again this his is not dire. You estrogen is not crazy high at all. Personally if it was me and I wasn’t having any sides I would do nothing. My estrogen has been elevated above normal ranges for years.

So what I believe S. Gentz means is I could try AI .5mg twice a week or stay where I am for another 6-8 weeks and get tested. My DR suggesting 1mg AI every other day by what I’ve read that is extreme. If I cut down from 100mg to 80mg test per week 40mL 2X is that a bad idea in your opinion?

Yes thats a recipe for disaster. You will crash your E2 guaranteed. I would prefer you didn’t touch an AI until you drew and E2 sensitive lab. Also, unless I missed it, I don’t see where you stated having high E2 side effects. If you don’t there is not reason to treat a non problem.

I wouldn’t lower your dose.

I have an E2 sensitve that was drawn on 12/27 by Quest and I’m still waiting for the result. I will post it to get thoughts in a couple of days I hope. I am not sleeping well anxiety I believe and unable to sustain an erection. I started 5mg Boron a week ago and for whatever reason my weight has dropped a few pounds. I have aches and pains but I’m 67 so…. My test at 791 is two weeks prior to the E2 sensitive and it’s only due to you that I pursued getting one. Thanks! I don’t know how I’ll correlate the result as they were 2 weeks apart. Any thoughts on dropping the test to 80mg?

I wouldn’t. Your FT is still not great. Lowering your Testosterone seems like the wrong path. For now I would go 50mg 2x per week and retake the E2. If you’re desperate to make a change you could go .25mg of Arimidex with each injection or .5mg with each injection as @s.gentz stated. I’m in the less is more camp. I’m assuming they gave you 1mg tabs so hopefully you can quarter them with a pill cutter.

Thanks again, I am without a rudder. I believe that is sound advice. I do not believe in the DR beyond the initial dosing. Could you recommend anyone?

Absolutely. I prefer Defy Medical out of Tampa Fl. They do remote telemedicine. I tried an Endo and other clinic with poor service before going to Defy for their reputation. I like Dr Calkins the best, but all of their medical providers are very good.

Thank you sir!

Good Morning Gentlemen!

I just got my results back from Quest and I am hoping someone might have some advice. My DR used a total estrogen number of 133 from Labcorp to prescribe 1Mg Anastrazole every day for high estrogen before this test came back 2 weeks later. I think that may be extreme!

Estradiol, Free 1.23

reference range is < or equal to .45

E2 Ultrasensitive is 50

Reference range is < or equal to 29 pg/mL

Any thoughts? I have not taken the AI at this time. Thanks for you thoughts!

Are you feeling symptoms of high estrogen? Yes it’s out of range but that doesn’t mean it needs to be lower. Mine has been above range for years.

I honestly don’t know. I am not sleeping well have some anxiety, nipples are erect more often than not but no other symptoms and maintaining erections not great. Getting them is not a problem but I’m 67 so I don’t know how much T would have helped. I have had some weird foot and shin pain and calf cramping I can’t explain but no real swelling.

If you want to lower it then try .5mg 2x per week. Do this for three weeks and get bloods.

I am in my 10th week now and have made only one change to dosing I went to 2X per week (.25mL) and do not have an active DR at the moment although he is reading the labs on sick leave. I have also added Boron 5MG per day. Ordinarily would E2 continue to rise or would there be some decline as the intial therapy period continues???

After 10 weeks you should be pretty stable hormone wise although you body could still be finding homeostasis.
Your estrogen could change slightly going from one to two shots per week but I would not expect a huge change. You may have a little less conversion font to two shots.

I guess I was wondering about the Boron and maybe E2 coming down from initial response to TRT. So I am thinking maybe .25 AI after injecting to start. Thoughts? and Thanks!
