Today was my second test since using a WS based routine.
1st 9 weeks
sq 275
bp 230
dl 325
2nd 9 weeks
sq 325
bp 240
dl 375 w/straps, 355 strapless.
WS has definitely helped me most on sq/dl I am going to switch to a MM type routine for my bench to try and get it up more. I probably wont test again until dec. but by the new year I would really like to be pressing 300…
Eat big and lift big and 300 will come maybe by March. Plateaus can kill just keep on switching around your rep scheme and shock your mind to handling more weights.
Interesting he said “shock your mind to handle more weight”. That is a very true statement I have found. Whenever I try to lift past a weight that’s been kicking my ass it’s the mental aspect that fails me. The first time I pressed 315 I had to load two 45’s, a 35, and a ten on each side instead of three 45’s. For some reason mentally it was easier and I got it.
