Not too shabby. She’s definitely a looker for sure!

I’d still suggest Megan Fox over her any day.

Or under her; well I’m sure you get the sexual reference…

Megan Fox as Lara Croft? Er.

I must have been CRAZY! lol

Okay, so movie plot… Croft finds our she has an evil fraternal twin… roll clothes ripping sweaty girl fight scene…
If this were the case they would def. have my ticket money.

Megan Fox as Lara Croft? Er.

Yeah, what WAS I thinking?
It’s one thing to find a girl attractive. Doesn’t mean that she is even remotely suited for the role of some video-game girl, especially one who could make a gymnast jealous.

Not saying that she looks bad or anything, but bodytype/shape and all that doesn’t exactly fit in with lara’s?
Well, I don’t think the new girl’s shape fits with it either…she really doesn’t look like she could kick anyone’s ass.

But she is very pretty.

Agreed, but she still seems to be a bit curvier than Megan at least.

Hard to do the fictional Lara justice, of course…
I think a weight-trained girl (not overly lean) with proficiency at gymnastics would be a better choice, it’s not like Lara has that much of a personality to begin with. No need for a perfect character actress here.
Hmm. Along the lines of Moorea Wolfe maybe (used to be a circus girl after all etc, not saying that she would be a perfect fit here but you get the idea).

I agree, she is too vanilla and where is her chest?

She’s only the FACE of Lara Croft in the game.

Lara Croft is now iconic. I was hoping they would come out with at least one more movie (done better than the last).

You want another movie? Really?

Man, what was so bad about the last two?

I am one of those who thinks people are just spoiled when it comes to basic action movies and not that movies suddenly suck so bad in that genre.

Every “classic” action movie of the 80’s and 90’s is cheesy as hell…but people still consider them great.

The basis of a Lara Croft movie?
-Find sexy girl to play her while wearing Daisy Dukes and shooting two pistols at the same time…while flipping through the air

-Throw in one or two puzzles for her to solve so that it resembles the game somewhat.

-Show cleavage.

*I’ve never liked the Tomb Raider franchise
*If a woman is gonna be the lead hero in the movie, she had better meet my standards (Long Kiss Goodnight, Kill Bill)
*I hate puzzles/mysteries

I just really don’t like the franchise. And its hard for me to take action movies with female leads serious(any movie starring the chick from the Resident Evil movies for example)
Right…because Sigourney Weaver sucks.

There are about as many truly badass women action leads as there are truly badass (and noteworthy years later) male action leads.

For guys, it’s a short list:
Arnold S
Sylvestor Stallone
Bruce Willis

B movie actors don’t count…like Seagal.

throw some d’s on that bitch

I forgot Sigourney Weaver. She was great in the aliens franchise. But besides Aliens, are there any action movie franchises with female leads?n (Exclude Kill Bill)

You forgot Wesley Snipes and JCVD! You of all people shouldn’t doubt Passenger 57.

My bad, I thought they were going to do a movie with her in the future as well. Yeah yeah, reading comprehension and all that, I get it

Still, don’t see how megan would really fit even in that case.

The one they actually chose would be the one I’d go with as well.

I did forget Snipes and now cut myself with my Blade replica sword as punishment.

You already mentioned Long Kiss Goodnight…and Resident Evil was actually pretty damn good (the first one). The last one wasn’t that bad either in a Mad Max sort of way.

While Linda Hamilton was badass in T2, I guess you can’t call her the franchise lead because 1) she wasn’t badass in every movie and 2) she wasn’t in every movie.

But she left a mark on that franchise that no one can forget. Every guy remembers the first they saw her doing pull ups in her psych ward quarters. She was bad ass enough in that one for two movies.

Agreed. She was the first muscular chick I ever really noticed.

The current Lara Croft is a pretty accomplished gymnast. I don’t think any of the previous Laras could do this:) :

Apparently, it helped her land the gig. I remember seeing a news feature on her a few months ago, where she talked about weapons training for the role:

This just reminds me how much Terminator 3 SHOULDN’T have been made.

Here’s a pic of some of the previous Laras…

x 2

Or some other number that shows how much I hate how they fucked up a good thing. I expect the next one will make up for it though…I hope.
